Looking forward for it to start. Hope it doesn't rain much in England and Wales over the next couple of months.

There are, it's one group format with the 4 best teams qualifying for the Semis.

Not a fan of this format really. The 2011 format was the best and it should have stayed that way.

Hello I agree, I prefer 2 groups with some of the non test playing teams added.

As there are currently 12 test playing nations , I would have had 2 groups of 8, the each of the 12 test playing nations split 6 in each group with 4 qualifying non test playing nations. Then top 4 teams in semi finals then a final.

Or 4 groups of 4 with teams in pots according to rankings so that top 4 ranked teams are in pot 1 and the bottom 4 teams are in pot 4 , having 1 team from each pot in each group , with a quater final featuring top group A taking 2 on second group 4.

Otherwise what incentive is there for the non test playing teams .

Having everyone play everyone is a bit much

We'll get to the final and lose again like we always do - I'd have a guess to Australia or SA. SA would be the best team going if they didn't hamstring themselves with their quota selection

Hello I think today's display by Pakistan woeful , I would think that the team would have played themselves in a bit before trying to do the big shots for 4 or 6. I think that if the batsmen had given the bowlers a decent target to bowl at they might of won. The bowling from Pakistan was getting going but the target was so small the bowling could not be effective , so they lost.

I hope the batting is much better on Monday against England .

I am also looking forward to others thoughts on the matches .

Yours

You got some much better batting. Really good stuff even if the England bowling was WAY OFF.

This could be a fun chase. I still think England will win here...just

Hello Ayoze I watched the game and noticed that Pakistan played themselves in and were not making rash shots and they were lucky at times like with run out chance.

The bowling was good as I noticed at the West Indies game the bowling was good but the target was not good enough .

Re: Cricket World Cup 2019 Discussion Thread!

Daft decision imo to not bat first, and set a team on an 11 match losing streak and obviously low on confidence a chase of 300+. Horrible performance in the field though, unusual for us in recent years.
