There's a way around that. Brock Lesnar is 0/10 on the mic too. Hell, Cesaro is probably better.

They tried to do something when Cesaro became a Heyman guy, but all he did was hype Lesnar during his promos alongside Cesaro. Sad.

What he really needs is a gimmick that Vince likes and the WWE audience likes him in.

His problem lies in the fact that he is foreign so Vince will never see him as a babyface, but for the audience he shines in that roll.

Why did Captain Robert Scott's wife leave him?
She was lack toes intolerant.

Someone else made a similar point earlier...

Compare that with Lesnar, who is is 11/10 in look, presence, body language etc. as well as being an excellent athlete. He's trash on the mic but Heyman is 11/10 there and they have a great natural chemistry so it works.

Normally having a mouthpiece condemns you to the midcard anyway. Brock Lesnar is not Paul Heyman's only client, he also had Cesaro, Curtis Axel and Ryback, how did their careers work out? Cesaro had Aksana, how did that go? Where do you think the Lashley story ends? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to end well for Lashley.

If it were up to me I'd give him a push, see if godlike ring work and effective heels can get someone over, in the same way people like certain boring real athletes for their amazing abilities. I thought the Mahal title reign was a great opportunity to get someone like him over. I just don't think it's going to happen though. Maybe in NXT.

You missed Punk though who was world champion when they were together. He also managed The Big Show when he was ECW champion if I recall correctly. Also, there have been plenty of wrestlers with managers that got over and were in the main event, like Booker T, Great Kahli, Umaga, Edge, Jinder Mahal and to a lesser extents Alberto Del Rio during his initial run and HHH with Stephanie .

If anyone in the company should leave most, it's him. I can't imagine he commands enough value in the WWE to get that much higher a salary than he could get anywhere else. ANY company knows how good he is, and would love to have him on their roster. He may not be a TOP star, but he's definitely a guy you could still in the mid or upper midcard in nearly any promotion.

There's no reason why he couldn't have a Michael Elgin type role on NJPW where he's having bangers with top guys in that company. The Japanese fans WILL appreciate him.

Several of the people you mentioned have had world championship runs without having a manager. CM Punk, HHH, Big Show, Edge, Booker T are all somewhat charismatic and have decent mic skills on their own (at least). That's not comparable to Cesaro, we're talking about a guy with terrible mic skills here.

I wasn't around for Great Khali or Umaga so I can't really comment on those.

Del Rio didn't really have a manager, he did his own talking, he just had a personal announcer. Do something like that with Cesaro and I think it would flop.

Jinder Mahal had a title reign with a couple of managers who did some speaking for him, it did not work at all, it absolutely fucking sucked. Moreover it was to cater to the Indian market, there's no Swiss market the WWE are trying to exploit. Maybe if you make him the European Ubermensch instead of the Swiss Superman to get the European Market he might get a Mahal-like push.

Look, I'm not saying Cesaro should be a main event player.

What I am saying is that fans like him, he's an athletic specimen that is as strong as an ox, and he typically has really good matches.

Don't you think that you should, you know, do SOMETHING with him? I mean he can help get guys over, and fuck, he got me to like Sheamus for the first and only time in that dude's career.

Cesaro is what should be considered a really good hand and they aren't using him effectively at all. Malenko wasn't a main event tier star either, but WCW used that motherfucker to help elevate guys like Rey Mysterio Jr. and especially Chris Jericho.

Because Vince doesn't like him...

Isn't Vince liking or not liking someone the reason everyone gets pushed or not in the WWE?

Re: Backstage News On Why Cesaro Is Not Likely To Get A Push Anytime Soon.

Cesaro is basically this generation's Chris Benoit. Comparing him to guys like Dean Malenko and Lance Storm is off... while they're all technically proficient, Cesaro has an intensity and a spark in his matches that those two rarely had (Malenko made magic with Rey Mysterio in WCW though). Cesaro can do things bell-to-bell to get the fans going banana. Cesaro having a Benoit-level card placement would be ideal- he should be a multi-time IC Champion, having frequent barnburners with the people WWE want to make stars while they're on their way up. And once in a while he could challenge for the WWE/Universal Championship at a B PPV.

He's bad on the mic, but he definitely has his own brand of charisma/personality. Fans like him well enough, but it's just cringey when he has to cut a promo. How often did Benoit have to cut a long form promo? Or someone like RVD? Keep his words short and sweet, and where possible let his opponent be the more vocal one in feuds.

WWE could get SO much more out of Cesaro- and it wouldn't require giving Cesaro a main event slot or pushing someone WWE likes more down the card. Remembering that I'd have Cesaro as an IC title level guy who only very occasionally gets a big PPV match/feud, we could have seen the following from 2012-present (and not just as a random TV match):

Cesaro vs. Cena
Cesaro vs. Rollins
Cesaro vs. Reigns
Cesaro vs. Ambrose
Cesaro vs. Rey Mysterio
Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler
Cesaro vs. Ryback
Cesaro vs. CM Punk
Cesaro vs. Chris Jericho
Cesaro vs. Bray Wyatt
Cesaro vs. Kane
Cesaro vs. Big Show (could have had a proper feud after WM30 to show off his crazy strength)
Cesaro vs. Neville
Cesaro vs. Balor
Cesaro vs Joe
Cesaro vs Nakamura
Cesaro vs. AJ Styles
Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan
Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens

They could do any of these matches at a PPV like Backlash, Fastlane, Clash of Champions and it would do nothing but enhance those cards.

I mean, if they don't want to do anything with him now, he could reprise his 2013-2014 role of going to NXT and having bangers. Matches with Cole, Gargano, Ciampa, Riddle, Lee, Dijakovic... I'm almost drooling thinking about it.

How is this even news? We know he's bland and can't talk. The company refuses to push him and will never do. They just dont want him to leave for another promotion. Expect the company to entice him to re-sign for 5 years when his contract is up.

Chrono's Current Fave 5 (Active stars only):
1. Daniel Bryan
2. Cody Rhodes
3. Jon Moxley
4. The Man Becky Lynch
5. Seth Rollins
