Lesnar's UFC career is overrated

9 fights, 3 losses 5 wins. Most of his wins he beat washed up fighters that were WAAAAY past their prime. Got destroyed his last 2 back to back fights vs Alistar Overeem and Cain Velazquez. His fight against Mark Hunt was overturned for drug use. Face it as much as we hype Lesnar up as "legit" he is a MEDIOCRE at best MMA fighter. Extremely overrated. He only really beat people by just going on top of them and striking. He's a glass cannon he get's knocked out very easily can't take a lot of punishment, he sucks at submissions and he has no standing game. Let's get this straight Lesnar is straight up not a good fighter. His last 2 fights before he got scared and retired both 1st round knock outs. He got beat like a dog.

I dunno, I personally enjoyed Lesnar's UFC career way more than his WWE career.

Enjoying it is one thing but as a fighter he was mediocre. Yeah he won the title vs an old washed up Randy Cotoure and he beat a couple of no names. When he faced legitimate threats he got knocked out every single time.

Re: Lesnars UFC career is overrated

His MMA career was not at all impressive. Without the double leg and a small pharmacy worth of roids he has absolutely no amazing technique or skillset to stand on. He was also quick to use his illness as an excuse instead of putting his head down and committing to winning.

At least Jon Jones has the remarkable skill and McGregor is entertaining.

GSP GOAT 4EVER.

Just to be clear Frank Mir was not a tomato can. Neither was Mark Hunt.

Doesn't mean Brock wasn't a juiced to his gills fucking bullshit cheater though.

Mark Hunt is legit. But Lesnar cheated that fight doesn't even count his win was taken away for drug abuse.

Re: Lesnars UFC career is overrated

He was thrown to the lions from his second fight onwards and had literally the toughest first 10 fights (well.. 9) anyone in MMA history has ever had. He fought a UFC HW champ in his 2nd fight ffs. Then he ended up fighting Carwin, prime Cain and a juiced to the gills Ubereem BACK TO BACK. The vast majority of HWs in history would pick up losses against that level of competition.

H2H wise at his best hes probably a top 10 all time HW. So yeah, he definitely was a good fighter, probably still could be a solid contender now considering the state of the current HW division.

Top 10 in ability, not resume.

You keep saying "5-3" like it really means anything when you take into account who he actually faced in those fights. Out of those 3 losses one was to a champion (and he avenged the loss) and then the other two were against two of the most dangerous HWs ever.

But sure, a guy who wins the UFC title in his 4th fight, defends it twice, beats Carwin (just about, granted) Randy, Herring, goes 1-1 with Mir and comes back after a 5 year absence to easily beat a top 10 ranked Mark Hunt, is not "legit", and is "mediocre at best", lol.
