Re: Why do people think the Fiend would even make a good champion?

The same mistakes wwe did with their over push of Roman reigns is continuing here as well..nothing new.. kill anyone who has a hot hand and keep pushing the babyface who was slightly getting cheered to the point where he is getting booed loudly....All they had to do was to put the title on Bray Wyatt who had momentum on his side..I mean the build was in such a way that Seth was freaking scared of him that he "closed his eyes", ran away etc..lol as stupid as that was, the ending to this match was more stupidly done.

Ive always been a Bray fan and this Fiend schtick has been my favourite incarnation of him. I thought he was damaged beyond repair from years of poor booking only for them to reinvent and reinvigorate him with that...then they fail to capitalise on his momentum yet again.

He is one of the few larger than life, "sports entertainment" type wrestlers the WWE has had this decade imo.

The fact that you're comparing Husky Harris to the Joker is laughable.

One is a pop culture icon 70+ years in the making, and the other is a cringefest cartoon character.

There is a market for the Joker because it developed with years of masterfully crafted comics, it didn't happen overnight. Just because people like the Joker doesn't mean that magically transfers over to Wyatt's latest dumb gimmick.

The biggest, strongest wrestler you'll ever meet.

I think there could certainly be an argument to him not needing or wanting the belt.

But when you put him in a title match and he's that over give him the belt. They way they went about last night was just fucking overkill. I mean why present him as that damn strong, only to not give him the title.

A fresh, exciting monster for a face royal rumble winner to overcome at Wrestlemania?

Right, cause Husky Harris and the Fiend are even remotely alike.

Beyond that, there are millions of people who are going to see the Joker movie who haven't picked up a comic book their entire lives. They are going to see it because the character is entertaining, same as the Fiend. It's the reason why movies like IT are so popular. These psychotic characters are interesting.

Nice try though.

I find him mildly entertaining but never understood the astounding excitement people have for him or the Fire Fly Funhouse segments. I've personally never been a fan of his.

/thread.

It's pretty bloody simple there.

The Fiend isn't a character that should be going after titles, he should be tormenting people and spreading chaos.. It's pretty bloody simple.

Subjectivity?

People like Kale for fuck's sake.

And no, I'm not comparing Bray Wyatt to Kale.

Re: Why do people think the Fiend would even make a good champion?

It's not about making him a champion, it's about establishing him as a monster, a serious threat. All they had to do was something similar to Kane in 98 when he beat SCSA in the First Blood match to become WWE Champion. They could've gave Fiend the title for a month, established his dominance. I would like to see him champion longer than that, but it is what it is. It's too late now no matter what they do.
