Re: The debut of...

I know his name, but other than that, I have no idea who/what he is about. I don't follow MMA, but again, I know his name. Hell, I think that even the audience didn't know who he was. It was like ya, clap, clap, clap... wait, who is this guy?

I'm almost certain that Fox was behind this, not WWE. Don't forget people, this is a Fox show, not a WWE show.

Re: The debut of...

Cain is only 37 and Brock is 42, so it is kind of funny people are calling him an old man. He has never been ripped, even when he was in his prime. Calling him out of shape, then in the same paragraph saying he is taking a spot Joe could have... seriously? Will have to see how he performs in the ring. I was honestly hoping he would sign with AEW.

Re: The debut of...

I doubt Cain would beat him if they were to fight today. Back when Cain did win Brock was still dealing with his diverticulitis if I remember.

This seriously has to be one of the most ignorant threads I have seen in some time.

Cain is a HUGE deal over in Mexico. Getting the rub from RM Jr. (The Mexican legend) is a big deal.

It will draw in the latin market big time, it's already getting hits pretty hard on YT and well as the spanish YT.

I'd rather corner that market any day of the week over putting him in a lather rinse repeat feud.

I hope this is a short run. I’m not at all interested in Cain Velasquez as a WWE performer. We don’t need another retired UFC guy hanging around. I get that he beat Brock in UFC but this is pro-wrestling, where that shit shouldn’t count. Hopefully Brock disposes of him quickly and moves on. The idea of a prolonged feud against this guy holds no interest. I think I’d rather see Brock feud with Rey Mysterio.

People that are complaining about this, also complain "same shit" every week. This forum is the kobayashi maru; a true fucking no win scenario with a lot of these neck beards.

Whether Cain is a big deal in Mexico is irrelevant to me. I don’t really care about the Latin market. I only care about being entertained and another retired UFC fighter doesn’t really do much for me. Also, WWE trying to appeal specifically to foreign markets has previously brought us terrible title reigns from Rey Mysterio and Jinder Mahal. I didn’t find either reign entertaining.

Cain beat Brock for the HW Championship in the UFC, but had a super long lay-off, and returned only to be knocked out in like 30 seconds which he and his team claims, his knee buckled and gave way and got finished on the ground. Fact is, he got knocked out from the hardest puncher ever in MMA. These WWE fans don't even know he is, not to mention he looks more out of shape then ever before. Wasn't a good look...
Ok wrestling fans, listen I am an MMA fan , I follow UFC and bellator but please expkaisn me how the fuck does it make it better?
Mma ISNT wrestling, in mma you can be a charisma vacuum with shit physique and win matches and be happy with it ( even tho connor proved that being charismatic will always get your further)
But its wrestling, it's not real fighting, wrestling is a game of perception. When cain comes out at smackdown lime that people think about dominic, that's the first impression he have. No one cares or should care about the fact that 8 years ago he did what he did, or at least they should have advertised him showing his resume before the show.

I dont see why wrestling fans should give a fuck about Cain, I dont see why anyone.
Cain is a guy with a shitty physique and absolutely no charisma, in real fight urc you can live with it but In wrestling you need charisma you need aura standing micskill to feel important.

AAA did it well to protect the guy, wwe put him on the fuckin main event scene...
