It does, but come on, it's a stretch. What he said made perfect sense in kayfabe. Asuka, Crews, Ali and others really don't have TV time, but Shane does. That's true, that's what we've been seeing for months. He didn't mention some backstage agent, he didn't say anything controversial. Worked shoot is when you talk about storylines, break kayfabe, drop names of fired wrestlers. KO didn't do any of that.
Dude this company is shitting on itself to get fans to give a fuck. You know how stupid that is?
At least with Punk it felt real and he came off like a real rebel, we've seen it a billion times since then and it isn't anywhere as great as it was Punk.
First, Punk had real grievances, was frustrated and on the way out so he channeled it well AND it's CM fucking Punk, one of the all time great mic workers who can articulate has wells exceptionally well.
And who the fuck gives a shit if Crews and Ali aren't getting TV time
This feels like a WWE straight to DVD version of the Summer of Punk. They really can't write for shit and are recycling material to create buzz.
Do you remember how Punk broke the internet when he did that promo, he freaking had mainstream media writing about him and wanting to book him.
Compare the reaction to this. It's nothing, everyone knows it's worked and most do not care. It's a desperate attempt to create buzz by the company through the company being 'meta'.
So excuse me for calling this crap out. Some here seem to never learn, hardly surprising considering they still watch this crap.
