Did we forget Shane McMahon's history?

I do agree that he is getting a bit too much TV time but why do we all act like he's not credible? This is a guy who competed against the likes of HHH, The Rock, Big Show, Kane, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and among many more names.

Shane McMahon was always treated like the star that he was/is, and was always a main eventer mixing it up with the aforementioned so why can't he beat someone like the Miz when he tore it up with much more credible talent in the past? I just don't get it. At least the guy can actually talk smooth, with intelligence and he was always a cool guy. Don't get all the hostility.

Re: Did we forget Shane McMahon's history?

He was always the underdog in those situations. And he wasn't 50. He had to pull out every stop to win back then, and most times he still didn't. Him beating anyone while looking like he's about to die just walking to the ring just isn't right. Have you seen that smiley of him that's floating around the forum? He looks like a goddamn rotisserie chicken..!

Re: Did we forget Shane McMahon's history?

Because he sucks in the ring and he's embarrassing to watch.

If Shane was an AMAZING worker people would agree with you. But he's not. His punches are cringe worthy and embarrassing. Selling his offense makes you look like an absolute fucking idiot. He sweats and turns purple out there like he's going to fucking expire.

People liked Shane because he did crazy suicide spots and that got him over. But this notion that he's a talented wrestler is objectively nonsense.

He was used as a special attraction back then. Not as a full-time wrestler who hogs 40 minutes of airtime per week and wins every match. Shane is a cancer to the product.

He's gonna win the WWE title sometime this summer. Is that really what you want to see?

Watch his match with Cody Rhodes on Superstars back in 2009-10 he shows a lot of technical skills. His match with Kurt Angle in 2001 certainly showed some of his wrestling ability, and his match with Aj styles at WM also showed that he's a capable in ring worker.

Considering Vince McMahon had 2 world title runs it wouldn't be all that bad since he's a far more capable competitor than his father. Maybe Shane is making up from all the lost time he was away from WWE after he left in 2009. He won't be around for too much longer so i'm okay with his final run.

I prefer Kofi Kingston to keep it though, I think Kingston is doing pretty well and is well deserved.

I don't have to watch old examples of good stuff. I know what I'm seeing now. What I'm seeing now is embarrassing nepotism.

Shane was also not forced like he is now. I don't mind him winning the wwe title honestly, atleast I know wwe would book the champion semi-consistent

Re: Did we forget Shane McMahon's history?

Shane was overrated as hell back then just like he is now. He is Vince's son and that was the only reason he ever got TV time against all those stars. The only difference now is that he is much older and fatter.

Re: Did we forget Shane McMahon's history?

I honestly don't mind Shane's little push. He's had pretty good gimmick matches and a motn contender with AJ styles ever since his return. Definitely not the best guy on the roster but that is hardly a requirement in WWE. Compared with HHH who has given us boring matches for the past couple of years(ironically the only exception being the debut of Ronda) and still won a WWE title it is fully acceptable for Shane to get a fair push
