Right before Wrestlemania we were hearing about all the stuff he was saying in the Body Building forum 12 years ago, then it kind of cooled off. Now all of a sudden it's reemerging again with the same exact comments that were reported months ago, like we all forgot that it was reported already? Like, why?
Some people just really hate Lars Sullivan, like he slept with their girlfriend or something.
its people who have nothing better to do with their life so they do stuff like this to destroy other peoples lives. like none of them ever said anything as bad as he did. bunch of fucking losers and hypocrites. I hope Lars stays with the company and gets showed down everybodys throat every week.

Lars Sullivan fined $100,000

https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/20...ed-100-654089/

WWE issued Wrestling Inc. a statement today announcing that Dylan Miley, a.k.a. Lars Sullivan, will be fined $100,000 for some misogynistic and bigoted comments that he made years ago on a Bodybuilding.com message board. In addition, Miley will be required to complete sensitivity training for those remarks. The company will also work with Dylan to meet with community organizations to discuss the power of social media and the impact that those words can have.

The comments that Sullivan had made in the past had been making the rounds for some time, but they came back under scrutiny last week after Big E responded to a social media post regarding them, tweeting, "Many are aware. If true, he has to bear the albatross of being a bigot & working in a company that is now filled with minorities."

We were issued an apology from Sullivan, who said that there was no excuse for those remarks, adding, "they do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today, and I apologize to anyone I offended."

WWE had been receiving criticism for not taking action on Sullivan. The controversy reportedly garnered the attention of Mars Wrigley Confectionery, one of the company's top sponsors, who said that they had engaged with WWE "to discuss this situation and seek to understand what actions they will take to swiftly address this matter."

Below if the full statement from WWE:

"WWE supports a culture of inclusion regardless of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation, and we are committed to embracing all individuals as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.

"Dylan Miley (aka Lars Sullivan) will be fined $100,000 and required to complete sensitivity training for offensive commentary uncovered from his past. WWE will also facilitate meetings for Dylan with community organizations to foster further discussion around the power of social media and the impact of your words."
Wow.

I can't say I'm surprised they didn't get rid of him, since this case is much different than Hogan's, whose comments were picked up by mainstream media and made a shit ton of noise. But yeah, that's a big fine since it's likely he's not making a big amount of money considering he just got to the main roster.

Hopefully he's destroyed his own career.

His words about race, sexism, suicide and mental illness could be very damaging. Shit like that ruins people's days.

This is true, and I wouldn't cry if Vince finally got his for the shit he's said and done.

That being said, the guillotine doesn't need to find everyone at the same time. I'm sure people were told "life isn't fair" as a kid. They love to turn that on people being discriminated against. But when it comes time for comeuppance, people will always point to those who haven't had their number called just yet as if their wrongs somehow excuse the wrongs of another person (not saying that's what you're doing). Lars Sullivan can be found guilty for being utter trash without needing all other pieces of trash picked up first. He can stand and fall by his own merits as a human being.

100K FINE for comments he made YEARS AGO on a MESSAGE BOARD. What the fuck is wrong with this country?

He actually wrestled under that name on his first few appearances in NXT.

To me it kinda sounds like a chick's porn star name.

Re: WWE fines Lars Sullivan over comments

All this shows is how miserable the majority of people are with their own lives that they're willing to dig up old comments from years ago simply to ruin a person's ability to care for themselves. From what I was able to read, because some of the links didn't work, his comments weren't anything offensive to me. I wouldn't have cared if he said that 5 minutes ago I certainly don't care that it was said 10 years ago.

And again, if these people are going to freak out whenever someone has what they consider to be the "wrong opinion" on non-whites, women, gays, trannies, and Muslims then they need to have that same energy when people have unfavorable opinions on whites, men, non-trannies, and Christians.
