So they are well out in front.

Think top 5 is:

1. New Day - 4 years and 9 months.
2. Wyatts - 3 years and 7 months.
3. DX - 3 years and 2 months.
4. Evolution - 3 years and 11 days.
5. The Authority - 2 years and 8 months.
That's pretty impressive knowing how much that WWE likes to break up stables or teams.

Vince likes money.

Unless there's a clear break out star in the group or someone who has outgrown the group, he'll keep them together as long as they still make him money.

A bit like how The Shield broke up - those 3 in a group for a long time wasn't sustainable. Reigns was the stand out guy in Vinces eyes and Rollins and Ambrose are far too good to be stuck in a stable for too long.

The one thing I've hated about the New Day was that before Kofi going for the title, none of them were really feuding outside of the group or going for singles titles. I'd have loved to have seen the likes of Big E or Xavier have feuds with guys outside of tag teams or aim to try and bring singles gold to the stable.

Yeah and supposedly The New Day sells a fuck load of merch so Vince is probably gonna keep them together for a while longer. Xavier Woods competing for the US Title is something I would love to see.

Xavier
Joe
Almas
Mysterio
R Truth
Mustafa Ali

Looks like a great mid-card division to me.

Re: Kofi Kingston Doesn’t See a New Day Breakup on the Horizon

There's no need to break them up. They get big pops pretty much every week, they're money-making machines with all of their merch, and they genuinely like being a group and have no interest in breaking up. It's be a textbook example of "doing it purely for it's own sake" to try and break them up.

And if you want to give them singles pushes in the future (Big E in particular has all the tools to do so imo), there's no reason why they have to break up to do it.

Re: Kofi Kingston Doesn’t See a New Day Breakup on the Horizon

Nor should they really.

Big E and Xavier just went through hell to get Kofi to Mania and Kofi delivered. And you saw what that meant to all of them. How close they really are. You don't mess with something like. Or if you, you put a lot of planning and effort into it. Think Batista and Triple H in 2005. When Big Dave finally turned on HHH, it was weeks and months building there.

So if you're going to break up New Day, a group that feels like a family, you have to put time into it. This cannot be a shock kind of moment like they did with The Shield.

I just hope that going forward that New Day can do more than just tag team stuff. They can still do that. But let Kofi do his thing as WWE Champion. Let Big E and/or Xavier do their thing for the US Title.

Nor do I see a breakup happening either. Maybe not ever and there is nothing wrong with that.

The breakup would be an interesting feud..and then what? Like I said in the past, all 3 are much better together than apart in everyones best interest long term. They can get singles pushes while still together. Especially for Woods since Big E will be out for awhile.

No one expected this faction to last. WWE Wrestlers told Kofi that this was career suicide.

The New Day works well. Kofi isn't the best on the microphone and I was so frustrated that he wasnt popping off to Daniel Bryan like I wanted him too. But I get it now... They compliment each other.

And another point I was like to add to all of this is that not every WWE wrestler's career needs to be verified by their singles career. If New Day are guaranteed to be HOFers; then they know their lane. And this magical ride they are on as a faction; they will continue to pursue milestones that no one saw coming. That is why Xavier was so emotional. He is aware of how many people to this day, still doubt this faction and try to limit their possibilities.

Kofi's push to a title wouldnt have been made without the New Day. And three black wrestlers having political pull in that locker room and with Vince. Naw, they good lol

I concur. I was thinking the exact same thing. That is to say, Kingston owes as much credit to Mr. McMahon's leeway and Woods' and Langston's support for his meteoric rise to fame as the current WWE champion. I mean, it's no longer about Ali's sudden injury. That is, here is your opportunity (I'm giving you the ball), what are you going to do with it? Or, this is your life, what are you going to make of it?

When you think of The New Day from their inception, the first word that comes to mind is persevence. For that reason, I'm proud of them. Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of their gimmick at first because I was unwilling to wait and see it evolve. And it has subsequently evolved into a phenomenon. This wasn't supposed to happen. Nobody could've predicted this... But, Kingston, Woods and Langston had to stay the course in order to see their goals come to fruition.

As I've said before, Mr. McMahon knows that The New Day are more profitable to his business as a group than as three individuals. And Kingston will benefit the most from remaining in the group as he enjoys his first WWE title reign. It's like The New Day are the WWE champion and not one single person. However, I want to be clear, Woods and Langston aren't his crutch. That is, Kingston became the new WWE champion through dedication and hard work. Moreover, he'd pinned Bryan clean at the WrestleMania thirty-five PPV with no interference from Woods or Langston.

Most importantly, Kingston has the chance to do what Booker has recently accomplished... That is, it's conceivable to think that if Kingston can stay healthy and maintain this level of excellence for a few more years, he could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. Is it far-fetched...? Consider this, Booker has now been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, yet he'll always be remembered for his storied career in WCW as a tag team and singles competitor. Conversely, Kingston is a homegrown talent who rose from the ranks in the WWE.
