Exactly. I hate it when people reply saying "well if you're annoyed they're doing their job" when you clearly mean annoying as in you can't bare to watch them or listen to them to the point where you wanna change the fucking channel.
For example Lacey Evans walking out and leaving is annoying but not channel changer annoying, Sami Zayn acts obnoxiously annoying as a heel but i enjoy watching it.
When The IIconics open their mouths and proceed to talk in their over the top nails on a chalkboard cartoony aussie accents my ears almost begin to bleed and i just wanna mute it or change the channel.
It's a comedy gimmick. And for me, it's the exact opposite. I see why people why cheer the Iconics because they're supposed to be a joke of sorts. Sami Zayn is a heel who goes out there trying to be serious, insulting the audience and still gets cheered. That is a big disconnect for me.
I was very surprised by how many people on these forums posted hateful comments towards the IIconics after they won the Women's tag team belts.
I was a fan from the first time I heard them talk on the mic. I haven't seen two people with so much chemistry in a long time. They always deliver on the mic, even when its corny as hell. They have that over the top personality that I feel WWE has been missing in general.
I won't argue with people that they aren't great in ring workers, but again their chemistry together make for some truly fun moments. They also have fantastic facial/body language. Some will call it cartoony or too over the top, but thats exactly what I love about them.
The IIconics winning the tag team belts was one of my favorite moments at WM35, possibly even more than Becky's win because it was unexpected.
