Re: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, WRESTLING FORUM, DON'T YOU DARE BE SOUR

MVP would have made a great champion. Dude had the mic skills, charisma, look, great entrance and star presence of a world champion.

People accusing others of racism for not wanting Kofi as a world champion is dumb. You would see a similar amount of pushback for flavor of the month geeks like Zack Ryder or Fandango if they were in Kofi's spot.

Does anyone actually think he can make a compelling long term champion? I guarantee even his biggest defenders knows he can't. His entire character is basically being a veteran who wanted a title shot. He doesn't have the look to be a superman face and its not in him to be a cocky face or turn heel. It was a pointless feelgood moment and after he loses the belt in a month or 2 he'll go back to being a mid-card comedy act for the rest of his career and it will make him randomly becoming superman for 1 month out of a 15 year career look absolutely absurd.

Kofi and Becky's moments last night are what Wrestlemania is all about. Hopefully Kofi gets a solid 2 months with the gold. I doubt he holds it deep into July though.

Re: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, WRESTLING FORUM, DON'T YOU DARE BE SOUR

LMAO I love how wrestling fans come up with their predictions. Look, I get it. WWE has a track record and you think that because he's not your guy; that the WWE feels the same way as you do. And btw, I'm only talking to the smarks who keep trying to claim that this title run for Kofi will be short lived. I find this completely disrespectful to a guy who earned this moment. Who most of you had that same dream, but lacked the ethic or drive to get to this point like he did. So now you are just fans...

Kofi Kingston will be a fighting champion. And with Injuries to Styles. Kofi has plenty of guys who are willing to put him over as champion all out of respect. So there is no reason for Vince to wash away this kofi movement just because he wanted to give him a WM moment. This storyline wasnt about a WM moment. It was about a long overdue push from one of the better in ring performers in the company. As well as one of the truest ambassadors for the company. Known around the lockerroom as the voice of reason and hope.

Kof run is similar to CM Punk after 2011 at MITB. They will have Kofi in legit matches. Probably against Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens, Ali, etc. Hell, even John Cena at Summerslam. The Golden Shovel storyline works great in that moment. Could all lead up to a rematch with Daniel Bryan later this year.

Congrats to Kofi on the win, well deserved after being with the company for so long.

I aint gonna accuse you of being racist just because you are not a fan of Kofi being champion. People have different preferences. There are many black people who would have preferred someone else over Kofi I'm sure. I think you are wrong though. I love Kofi as champion personally, I do honestly think MVP would have been a better choice if he stayed loyal to WWE over the years, who knows if he had won the title or not. We all know Kofi isnt going to have a long reign though, its a charity run more than anything, a thank you if you will. What matters to me is how entertaining he is with the title.

I'll raise you one better though, Ron Simmons was way more deserving of getting that WWE title back in the day, the guy won the WCW title but didnl;t get near as close in the WWE. I was rooting for him in his Nation days man had intensity, mic skills, a good look and could mix it up with the best.

To say you are not a fan of Kofi being champion is fine. You sre entitled to that, doesn't make you a racist. It;s makes you wrong in my eyes but not a racist

Why is Kofi champion?

Can anybody explain this? Is he leaving/ retiring soon and they're sending him out on a high note? Did he threaten to go to AEW?

How? A month ago, he was just a New Day team player. How did a mid card tag team player get pushed into the spotlight seemingly so fast to headline WM and win the title? He never had a Daniel Bryan-type movement or anything like that up until a month or so ago.
