The only way they can save it without making the Fiend flat out invincible is if it's revealed that Bray Wyatt has protective padding in his mask.

Re: They've kinda killed The Stomp

There's no distinction between signatures and finishers.

To me a signature and finisher are like:
Signature will typically not win the match, but has potential to win a match and will occasionally win the match
Finisher: Finishes the match, hence the name finisher. 9 times out of 10, 1 is the match finish. This NOT being the match finish means something big.

WWE doesn't really have this. People rarely win off of signatures and typically need multiple "finishers" to finish a match, which really makes it another sort of signature.
The entire wrestling world is like this. That's how it goes.

If Seth was smart he would change his finisher to a roll up. Aint nobody kicking out of that.

Contrast that with New Japan where Okada protected Omega by not taking the One Winged Angel when beating him, thus leaving open the question of what would happen if Kenny actually hit his finish.

Re: They've kinda killed The Stomp

I'm OK with it at the moment as it's The Fiend kicking out as they used to do that with Taker, He took 2 Jake DDT's when that move was still instakill.

It's when regular people start kicking out of it is when it's killed.

allow me to digress WWE need to stop the whole "Finisher fest" matches.

The Stomp was always shit anyways. The Curbstomp is where it's at.

Re: They've kinda killed The Stomp

Finishers mean nothing anymore, you can thank the high spot no sell false finish turn the business has taken that the WWE has sadly adopted over the last 5 years. But specifically when it comes to the Stomp, the Bray Wyatt silliness completely killed it. They've booked themselves into a corner with Bray, this isn't Lucha Underground, this shit borders on silly. And it's not like Bray Wyatt is a new person, we've seen him do plenty of jobs as Bray Wyatt and Husky Harris in the past, the guy lost a comedy undercard feud to Matt Hardy of all people not that long ago. Where have his superpowers come from, kayfabe wise? It's silly. And how are you gonna beat him now? And you know when they beat him, he's gonna fall down the card and be doing clean jobs to midcarders after one finisher. It's gonna make what happened with Seth look so fucking stupid.

Re: They've kinda killed The Stomp

I completely agree that they've killed it. For a move that will kill someone 90% of the time it's used in real life, that's an amazing achievement. I can't even take American History X seriously anymore!
