Cesaro Says It Was Really Mick Foley’s Idea To Put The Bar Together

Quote:
In an interview with TalkSport, Cesaro said that it really was Mick Foley’s idea to put him and Sheamus into a tag team, and that it wasn’t just something that Foley did as part of a TV angle when he was the GM of RAW. Here are highlights:

On moving to RAW recently: “See, I was traded after the Superstar Shakeup. So, I actually thought that The Bar may not have been broken up, you know? You never know! Then, all of a sudden I get a message like ‘Hey, your travel changed,’ and I’m like ‘Ah, OK yeah, guess I’m a Raw guy now!’

On Mick Foley putting The Bar together: “For all I know, yes, it was his idea to put us together. He saw something in that and he was lobbying for the best-of-seven series and then to make us a team. So, thank you Mick!”

Cool. That's nice to have a legend rooting for you and lobbying in the back. There was really nothing to lose, neither guy was doing anything.

I know many people are upset the Bar split up. But, with cesaro injured Cesaro could have sat waiting for him to return, potentially doing nothing. I'll take any hope Cesaro will wrestle on my TV again!

Doesn't help him now. He was jobbing on Main Event, for god's sake.

It really saved Sheamus's career and it showed us the true potential he really had, and could have had all along. Props to Foley for this, they were an awesome tag team to watch.

I'm not upset they split but I am that it was done with zero effort. That team deserved an angle or even a friendly split.

You can compare it to Bobby Roode's heel turn. You expect it to be this big or at least memorable moment and then it seems like WWE put no effort onto doing that.
