It's yet another sign of the regression of the company that they're looking at selling roughly half the tickets they did last year. There was always going to be a drop off, but that is huge.

There won't be another Wembley show, at this rate.

Edge has said he is definitely missing the show which isn't surprising - was looking forward to him being there as well
I guess jumping off the top of a cage and falling feet first in your 50s wasn’t a bright idea after all. 🤷‍♂️

I be shocked if they get 50k this year.

Can't blame those fans as product is cold as shit.

It's not going to go over 45,000 if it's stuck at just over 41,000 at the moment and they've only sold a few hundred tickets in the past two months.

Even 45,000 is looking extremely ambitious, we're probably looking at 43,000 absolute max, and that is going to look pretty awful in a 90,000 seater stadium.

I’ll give AEW some leeway. You could see a tickets surge in the last few weeks once a card is announced. There are people out there who are practical enough to wait to see if an event is worth going to before blindly buying expensive tickets.

Of course Khan could just have someone buy up all the remaining tickets and try to tell us why “tickets purchased” and “live attendance” have such a massive discrepancy. 😂

They need to announce some huge matches and even go down the line of some celebrity/sports involvement if they want to start shifting tickets. For example have someone like an Anthony Joshua in someone's corner and have him knock out a load of jobbers or Chris Jericho or something. I even think announcing a Goldberg retirement match on the card would at least pull a few thousand extra tickets in.

45,000 at Wembley will look silly given how full it looked last year, it has a 99,000 maximum capacity (including floor seating). It helped last year having around 15,000 seats covered up for the hard cam and stage blocked views.

I enjoyed the show last year, but due to product being absolute garbage since then at this moment in time I'm not interested in going this time around.

The problem is, there's no mega matches to make to actually sell the show on. What are they going to put on to entice thousands of more non-die hard AEW fans - who will already have their tickets - to come to the show? Punk is gone, Edge is out, Omega is almost certainly out. They're not going to sell significant tickets by announcing something like Swerve vs Hangman IV, because casual fans simply won't give a fuck and won't buy a ticket on the strength of a match like that.

Yep, this is the only possible hope they have. Draft in some big celebrities and/or bring in legitimate stars from outside like Goldberg who will appeal to casual fans.

I think there will get to 45k once the card is announced (assuming they don't fuck that up)

Still a massive number no matter what and I thought due to a concert the next day is was only set up for 50k anyway so it is set up to hide the empty seats regardless

Tbh having 40k rather than last year's 70k+ will mean the journey home might not be as much of a nightmare as it was last year

I flew out that stadium rapidly! No traffic at all.

Me and ton of the people I know are coming over. We just didnt buy any tickets yet as theyre going to get cheaper. I would be really surprised if they woulnt draw well over 50k with all the last day walk ups.

RVD can be your Edge replacement, similar success in the industry and in terms of name value RVD is at least Copelands equal, arguably more as everyone knows Copeland as Edge.

Forget Goldberg, Bill wanted to play a part leading upto/in Stings retirement ppv.

TK fucked that one up, a Goldberg retirement match in the uk would have comfortably drew a further 5000 imo.

The first year bounce was always going to drop off

This ppv a month means they can't do an early build which is what they need. I think they need a decent card - Serve needs to lose at FD and then Ospreay is the home town champ and if they do MJF it will split the crowd in a good way - everyone will be into it and it will make for a great atmosphere

I'm still hoping to see Okada - if he doesn't get a mega pop then fuck the UK lol

I mean, maybe I'll eat my words but after last week it seems clear that the Garcia match was a smokescreen to build an Ospreay vs. MJF match for Wembley. If anything, I could see Garcia vs. MJF for All Out 2 weeks later.

Basically the top of the card will be:

*Swerve vs. Hangman or Bryan
*Toni vs. Mariah
*Ospreay vs. MJF
*Mercedes vs. Britt

After that the rest of the card is filled out with spots for guys like the Bucks, Mox, Okada, etc. To me it looks like a good top of the card though I don't see any of those matches or any match they could announce suddenly creating a surge in ticket sales if you care about that.
