Yeah it was bad

The problem is they booked the match in a way to have crowd engagement be a huge part. Fans were expected to react huge to back and forth superkicks which would have made it really fun....but they were dead quiet. So it completely killed it
you mean like how when wrestlers exchange punches? what kind of frivolous, moot criticism is this? and btw that's not even true, they were yeeting the entire match, including at the kick part. but yes the match was underwhelming and disappointing

According to Dave, the Three O's (Ospreay, Okada, Omega) have 37, 27, and 25 matches better than Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit at Royal Rumble 2003, Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 21 and Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels both times at WrestleMania. He rated both Anarchy In The Arena matches 5 stars. He gave a 5 star match rating to 2 matches with no wrestling in them.

I just don't even know what to say with him. His mind just doesn't live on Earth anymore.
i cant believe he doesnt share the same opinions as you!!!!!!

like i said...Daves hate from WWE fans stems from the fact he doesnt give 5 stars plus to wwe matches.

if he did, theyd love him
I don't think they would, the frustration stems from the fact he completely misses the point of what a wrestling match is supposed to be. A predetermined contest that elicits an emotional reaction from the audience without hurting your opponent. Meltzer just loves hard hitting movez

Why would your definition be the be all end all of a wrestling match. you have to face facts....theres mutiple reasons why someone likes matches.

i prefer the same as Dave...does this mean i dont understand pro wrestling? or is just i dont put that much importance behind an emotional response. or is it that hard hitting action does give me an emotional response. and if that is whats happening, then how is it even wrong compared to your definition?

seeing a guy fight through an ass kicking by giving off a last ditch effort fury does can ellicit an emotional response. seeing a crazy move to turn the tide of a match does ellicit an emotional response.

do you view wrestling as an art form.? im sure you do...so how can the interpretation of the art be wrong? its just different.

and i 100% believe daves haters care more about his ratings than people who check them out regularly.

i also check Thomas Hall, Scotts Blog of Doom and others who share a similar mindset for reviews and ratings. These guys arent doing anything totally different than Dave. i use Dave and these guys to guide me to what i should bother checking out. i have no time for matches id consider boring since im sure of my tastes.

Dave is just an opinion. you dont have to put weight to it.

You are wrong yeah
Hilarious. That's why i can' t take fans like you seriously. you set up boundaries on how to enjoy wrestling the proper way. Its narrow minded and sad.

And that brings me back to how Dave critics are more obsessed with his ratings than his fans. hey atleast it gives you guys something to complain about on forums.

Heres a good comparison

Everyone i know who loves Rage Against the Machine, they love them for their far left lyrics. If those fan told others you have to like them because of their lyrics and not the musicianship of the band, well it sounds just as dumb saying you shouldnt base your love of pro wrestling on the moves, reversals etc.

I prefer their musicianship personally. Morello>Zach
