I know kayfabe died a long time ago but honestly from a storyline perspective Edge being suddenly being a babyface doesn’t work. He has been ripping on the fans for months, attacking babyface’s, and being all-round very dark character. Now all of a sudden we are meant to be sympathetic and cheer for him and boo Judgement Day? Honestly it makes zero sense. Like it wasn’t Edge’s choice to leave the group, he would still be in charge if it was up to him. It would have made more sense to build it slowly, him having second thoughts on their message and then they turn on him. It’s why heels turning on heels doesn’t work often. I just hope he returns as more of a tweener instead of a full on face. Was really enjoying heel Edge.
Kayfabe wise, why would we suddenly cheer Edge?

As much as WWE and wwe fans want you to believe their in ring product is what's holding this shit together.
Like you said if it were any other tv, movie, piece of media, this broken product would be dead on arrival.

This argument makes sense back in the old days but when Edge has had 25 face turns over the course of his career you don't need some big a reason to root for him again.

The commentators showed sympathy for Edge. Edge tried to fight back although he was badly beaten. Judgement Day were brutally sadistic.
They turned Edge face.
I have absolutely no idea but we will, cause he is Edge. The dumbest thing is having Balor replace him as if he didn't just whoop him for the last month. Guess they had no one else to front the group, but they just went from one of the main attractions on Raw to likely being broken up in a few months

he literally can talk himself into a face role with 10 mins and a microphone. He can talk himself into a heel faction role going against them based off La Familia. Edge can talk himself into any role or reaction based off his personality, mic skills, and mannerisms. He’s very good at being a character first. It’s why SD revolves around him for years

I mean edge easily on of the best faces WWE have 99% of them can't cut a promo for shit. WWE have blurred the lines of face and heels now anyway the crowd cheers who they want no good vs evil anymore. The bloodline are pushed like a super babyface group despite being disguised as heels to make them seem cooler.

How can you can say he has done nothing good in 20 years? His Rated R heel persona was easily one of the best heels in WWE history.
I mean, even near 50 how many people in the company can cut better promos then him i find it hard to make a long list, even with this garbage judgment day material he made it somewhat passable. Let's just see Finn bomb because he can't cut a decent promo to save his life.
