Roman Reigns sucks so badly as a face because he's a real-life heel.

The character Roman Reigns is trying to be a face but the actual Joseph Anoaʻi is a legit douchebag, which is why I think he struggles so much to connect with the audience and get the fans behind him. He's faking it 100% and the fans know it.

Reigns had no passion for the business growing up. He's the exact same as Goldberg. He wanted to be a football player but failed miserably and thought "well I've got family connections so I guess I'll give wrestling a shot" and that's it. Reigns had no passion or desire for wrestling, this is a job and a paycheque to him, nothing more than that.

Secondly, he grew up in a wealthy wrestling family and has no understanding of paying his dues. Reigns has a job in WWE because of his family connections, he hasn't had to work for anything. Say what you will about John Cena but the guy grew up in a really poor house and worked his ass off to achieve everything that he has. Roman Reigns is the opposite. He was an entitled rich boy that had everything given to him. Why the fuck would fans cheer for someone like that and accept him as the FOTC? Simple, they wouldn't and they never will.

Finally, the guy is just a piece of shit in interviews. Calling fans "jealous" of him because they boo him, proclaiming himself to be the best wrestler in the world, getting into arguments with fans on twitter and bragging about all the money he has, etc You would have never seen this kind of behaviour from The Rock, Steve Austin, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, and any other former FOTC. Every guy has their flaws and their own personal demons but they all had enough respect for the business to carry themselves with enough class while in public and while dealing with fans.

The fans know all of this and it's the big reason why they (rightfully) boo the shit out of him.

of course roman is piece of shit. that should be obvious to everyone already.

it's not even a surprise at all. besides, they're literally pushing the most talentless sadsack in the planet to hilariously atrocious results. he's easily the biggest failure in the history of the company. i guess that explains his pathetic attitude to some of those fans :lol

there are tons of intelligent fans who realize how trash roman is, so they boo him. good on them for knowing who's talented and for knowing who's shit :clap

He's not a douchebag. He may be a little arrogant and he's had opportunities, but that doesn't make him a douchebag. I've never heard any fan say anything negative about meeting him and I don't recall him being douchy on podcasts. He may lack grace in some interviews but doesn't make him a dickhead.

I also don't get why you referenced his NFL history. Wrestling doesn't have to be your one and only dream job for you to have desire and passion.

I don't know why I bothered to write all that since CJD88 is a TROLL

He's in the position he's in now for the following reasons:

1. WWE stupidly had him Main Event Wrestlemania at a time when Daniel Bryan had returned from being inactive due to injury for ten months and fans wanted Bryan/Lesnar.

2. He's not capable of portraying the character WWE wants him to be, and thus he is unable to build an actual connection with fans.

3. Despite his set backs, WWE has tried to find otherwise to get fans to like him rather than just slow their role on him, which pissed off fans even more.

4. He has no redeeming qualities that give a reason to want to see him in the main event in any shape or form. Cena, whether you like it or not, had these and then some.

It has nothing to do with who he is in real life. Apparently, he's a very nice person outside of the ring and is considered one of the more easy going guys backstage. Cena definitely worked his ass off, but you're going to act like Roman didn't work his ass off to get to where he is now? Are you not aware of what Roman looked like not too long ago?

I think Roman is cool in real life. He may have an attitude but hey, he probably has that cool attitude kinda-thing.

He comes across the kinda guy that would invite you to his family backyard Sunday barbecue in his neighborhood having burgers and beer.

Paying dues. Somebody thinks it's still 1986.


The minute big companies like WWE, WCW, etc started having their own designated training facilities and or development promotions "paying dues" changed drastically if not became totally irrelevant. Get over it. Stop watching shoot interviews and picking random insider terms around like you know what you are talking about. Stop being butthurt over a TV Show.

Your life does not have to revolve entirely around wrestling to be worthy, it is just a job after all. I feel like your point is truer in a more kayfabe sense, he is a terrible baby face because he is actually a corporate stooge, corporate pet, he is chosen by the bosses and then portrayed as anti Authority.

I'm as big a Roman hater as anyone...

But I've never heard or read a fan tell a story about Roman being a dick. On the contrary it seems all the stories from fans who've met Roman have been overwhelmingly positive.

Roman might be a talentless, overpushed, meatheaded, douchey looking, hack.... but I've seen no evidence to suggest he's a dick.

LMAFO!!!!! If this ain’t bait... ya’all haters are pathetically desperate. Snap out of it dude, at least I dont spit on superstars I don’t care much for. I embrace fans liking their own, don’t be a douchebag. But if your really nuts then there are a plenty of resources available to get you a mental evaluation and therapy if meds ain’t needed.

Sorry to burst your bubble those that know joe anoai would be rolling off their couches with these kinds of bizarre reasonings ya all come up with for your justification of hate especially under false pretenses. Dumb ones will fall for this and seeing repetitive same ol haters popping up on this thread too.

This screams desperation and dang man go get some help dude, get outside and smell the nature, get involved in recreational activity, or get your ass up and go work out, or go find a healthy companion to play around with. Whatever helps your extreme insecurities or even worse your mental issues.

By all accounts Romans a good dude in real life. And the fact he had other career aspirations doesn't mean his not passionate about the business. There's nothing wrong with having different paths.

The reason he fails as a babyface is cause no one buys the narrative. And because management. There's no one person to take the blame. Multiple parties are at fault.

Romans real life character has no standing here. Stop insighting.
