Unless they're planning on turning Enzo heel, does telling the world the locker room hates him accomplish anything?
Despite WWE portraying him as a babyface I could never stand Enzo. He was a clear cut heel to me.

Oddly enough last night was the first time I actually felt sympathy for him, which in the old days meant they were gearing to turn someone FACE... not heel.

Just another example of the WWE being totally bizarre these days.

Yea, we know backstage stuff, but I always know personal stuff about actors from other TV Shows and their stuff doesn't get displayed while they're filming.

And Miz and Enzo are both talented enough to make a script work, they are by far two of the top 3/4 mic workers on the brand (along with Wyatt and Ambrose).
Saying real stuff doesn't mean it isn't scripted, I honestly believe Miz's stuff was totally scripted by Vince to ridicule Enzo. Most wrestling companies blur the lines between what's real and what's fake, there isn't a clear fourth wall to break so to speak. Wrestling just lends itself to that more than TV shows and movies

What doesn't make sense is to script one guy, and then throw the other one to the wolves like they did here. Because as you state Enzo is a top mic worker, and he can take that stuff and give a good reply, as long as both guys are in an equal playing field.

The segment ended up working in the end (not for Vince, certainly), because Enzo is over. If he wasn't, he'd be as good as gone by now.

The writing is getting a little too cutesy with the "Hey, look at us bringing real life into our make believe world!" approach, but if the promo worked to humble Enzo, maybe it needed to be done. The rumors surrounding him make it seem like he thinks he's a mega star when he really hasn't done jack shit. Hell, Enzo AND Cass didn't do jack shit in the tag division.

Not only that (and I'll reserve full judgement until the storyline plays out), but it seemed like the "I'm having a baby" line before Enzo came out was a thinly-veiled way of gaining sympathy for Miz and turning him into the babyface for this segment. Having Enzo interrupting an announcement like that was a surefire way to cut his legs off from under him.

But you're right, Enzo is still extremely over. It's the definition of the cream rising to the top. His charisma is unshakable, regardless of his backstage reputation. People feel that about him. It's almost like the Daniel Bryan phenomenon in it's earliest stages but with appreciation for a different set of skills. It might get to the point where the more they try to bury Enzo, the more over he'll become.

Everyone knows I'm not an Enzo mark, but I don't really get the point of burying him. What does this accomplish other than hurting his value and reducing the amount of money he can potentially bring to you

I just don't understand why Enzo interrupted The Miz, Miz wasn't shitting on the crowd, Enzo interrupting Miz when he was doing something that wasn't Heelish makes Enzo the Heel.

I agree that Miz came across like a face, even throwing in the Angle line and the match after which came across to me more as the guys at the back wishing it was them whacking Enzo into the mat. The thing is though, Enzo is still over no matter how hard they try to bury him. And it was refreshing that as great as Miz's work shoot was, was that he had a guy to play off him unlike ace a/Reigns doing it where Cena just makes Roman look a fool with Reigns attempts at comebacks.

Miz really should be on top of SD. The guy has far out grown his role, but there's no spot for him to pop into at the top of Raw.

i like miz a ton, but i didn't see this huge burial you guys are talking about? "shooting" on him by saying he's unpopular backstage? oh no!

and that line about who the baby's daddy is, was the line of the night, and got the biggest reaction, and some serious chanting. you guys really dislike enzo

Enzo held his own against Miz, I don't know why some people are acting like Miz straight up massacred Enzo like Cena is doing to Reigns.

Miz described himself in Enzo when he debuted and Enzo did make a good point with Miz copying other stars like Jericho, Flair, should've thrown in The Rock too. Enzo could've also gone deeper about his fake Hollywood career, saying he stars in shitty WWE C-movies that no one watches and isn't even close to Cena's level as a Hollywood star, let alone Rock's, something like that.

I enjoyed the mic wars during the match though and Enzo got the last laugh on Miz with the "your wrestling is going straight to DVD" and "who's your daddy?" lines :lmao

Don't know why Enzo is being treated the way he is by WWE. Enzo is living like a rockstar, something WWE hasn't had in ages. People are too sensitive these days. Guy is arguably the most charismatic out of the entire roster and he's being wasted.

I also agree about the whole everyone shooting every week thing. It needs to be a rare occasion like back in the day. It would be more effective that way but now it's just like "enough with that shit".

It's funny but... why people are bitching about this kind of promos and claim "WWE out of ideas"... well I hope they finally have zero and keep using backstage interaction, because their own ideas are usually crap, I'm extremely surprised we have now WWE creative fanboys that want the old material back lol.

Well, Enzo is still over after getting buried physically. So, Vince tried to bury him verbally. It didn't seem to work as Enzo got the last laugh as the crowd chanted "Who's your daddy?" At Maryse. Vince should just swallow his pride and push the guy in the cruiserweight division or midcard. He'll make more coinS with Enzo than with Roman.
He was actually getting a few boo's in that segment. Enzo's fire is burning out quickly, man.
