Big guys should wear pants like Strowman and Reigns or Trunks like Goldberg or those jumpsuit thingys that Show, Swagger and Henry wear, looks better that way, smaller-medium size guys should wear only tights, I think smaller wrestlers look silly in trunks or jumpsuits.

Women should wear as little as possible because fuck it I still rather watch women for their bodies than their wrestling skill.

I prefer they dress for their character so that it works, if you're a shoot wrestler type, wear something a amateur wrestler would wear, singlet or something. You a brawler wear something else Austin attire or something. A flamboyant character, wear flamboyant attire.
Big Boss Man, he's a cop, got his protective vest, cop glasses, gloves, stick, everything you'd expect a cop to wear, works.

Roman Reigns, not a cop, wears a protective west, does not work (kind of makes him look like a pussy that needs protective gear despite being a big guy compared to most)

Much better, no west but a shirt that coveres basically the same thing as the west does and even fits better so you can see his body is more defined than you could when he wore the west, also not a clothing article specifically tied to a profession or character. Would work.

Depends on the wrestler. Orton would look weird in pants, Swagger's limbs are too long for trunks, Ambrose's jeans make sense for his character, etc.

It all depends on the gimmick and the body shape of the talent. Sweeping generalizations when there's so many different body shapes doesn't make any sense.

That being said, I wish Rollins would switch to trunks. The feel gear/skin tight suits don't fit as well with him as a face.

You mean a singlet?

If I were to choose I would go with tights. Always like Hollywood Hogan's NWO tights, and Chris Jericho's tights between 1999 - 2005.

I also like Undertaker and Kane's attire too because it matches their character nicely. Couldn't really imagine either of their characters in wrestling trunks.

That being said, with some wrestlers the wrestling trunks matched their characters too. Stone Cold, The Rock, Brock Lesnar's wrestling trunks 2002 - 2004, and Randy Orton's trunks suit them perfectly.

Can't stand wrestlers wearing casual clothes in the ring like John Cena, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns.

My personal favorite has always been a wrestler who wears trunks/tights/singlets that always have a consistent design or graphics, but have the trunks in a wide variety of different colors.

The best examples of this would be Randy Orton (2003-2005), CM Punk, Ric Flair, Rey Mysterio (1996-1998), and Razor Ramon.

Bonus points if you fall into the above category but have matching ring jackets/robes for that attire (surfer Sting, Flair).

My second favorite is any wrestler that wears a specific attire, but the colors AND patterns are both constantly changing within their trunks of choice. Examples would include Chris Jericho (1997-2003), Macho Man, Steiner Brothers (1989-1994), and the Rockers.

Also, a huge shout out to both Kurt Angle and Bret Hart for having amazing designs throughout the years while keeping with a single color scheme. Some GOAT attires between those two guys.

Dean Ambrose in jeans and a dirty vest is hateful. How the hell does he able to maneuver around the ring in those things. i struggle to run in jeans never mind do a wrestling match in them.

Jericho really ought to go back to wearing pants.

They're not regular jeans, they're specially made for him to wrestle in, that's how. There's an interview somewhere out there where he talks about getting them made.

So technically they ARE wrestling gear, cos it's not like he's wrestling matches in regular jeans :lol

And his vests aren't dirty lol, are you confusing him with Luke Harper? :D

I don't care if they're made for him. Dean Ambrose doesn't wear wrestling attire. He looks like some guy from the crowd, but just happens to wrestle. He never had this problem before. He wore tights before and should be wearing tights again. He doesn't look like he belongs in the ring.

Singlets have got to be the worst. Anyone with the exception of Kurt Angle has looked ridiculous in one.
