Besides the botching, how else is Naomi's wrestling bad?

I don't consider Naomi to be bad as it's more I feel others are just better.

Besides botching? I'm sorry, but if you're botching on the regular, putting yourself and others in the ring in danger, you are not a good pro-wrestler. Naomi is creative, she tries a lot, she can be fun to watch, but it's impossible to watch a match of hers without having your face go red from all the facepalming. I like her, but she's not a good in-ring talent, and still needs a lot of work.

If you're not a safe worker, you're not a good worker. Period.

Besides the botching? that's like asking a gunshot victim "besides the hole in your head how are you feeling today" Botchomi is terrible she's a danger to anyone she gets in the ring with. plus she's an awful mic worker and basically stole Sasha's gimmick. I cant wait till WWE does some house cleaning and gets rid of her.

I feel her botching has been overstated as a way of discrediting her and how much more boring she makes all the other divas look in comparison. Neville botched twice in a match against Barrett, didn't hear a peep from the IWC, certainly didn't hear how it overshadowed the quality of the rest of his work.People say Naomi is dangerous yet oddly hasn't injured anyone else and even more strangely is the recipient of the most high profile divas in ring injury of the last few years.

If Naomi was really as dangerous as people say would they keep putting her on tv and ppv? Think about the controversy if she breaks someone's neck in the ring. Naomi isnt a huge draw so in terms of cost/benefit analysis there's no reason to have her out there if she's so dangerous. Come on people think, I know it's hard: blind hate and parroting ad hominems uses less brain power than rational thought.

People are miss understanding me. I'm saying how else is she bad in the ring. Give me another way of saying she's bad in the ring.

Such a great post. I really dont get why Naomi gets so much hate for botching yet everyone else gets a free pass.Her botching is overstated to completely discredit her why IWC darlings can botch at will and its fine. Look at the Divas Title 3 way, Naomi had a bad night, Paige had a bad night, Nikki had a bad night. They all had some botches and yet its just Naomi that gets hate for it. Neville can go out there and fuck up his spammed flips; no worrys. Naomi does and it makes her the worst wrestler ever apparently.

People trying to defend Naomi... here's a clue: she dropped Brie on her head and damned near looked like she killed Paige by dropping her on her neck. She is an accident waiting to happen and there is no defending her. It's not looking "cool" by trying to be contrarion on with this. It was obvious when it happened both times by the simple fact those botches were called out immediately by half the forum.

Nikki and Paige botching a roll up or a miss timed kick is one thing, but looking like a reckless twit for a long long time before and then cementing it by dropping two people to the point they could have been crippled or killed.... yeah, no that is completely different. Hopefully the WWE sees it and we never see that woman in the ring ever again.

As for "without the death inviting botches": she has no psychology and just does moves even more randomly than nikki, she never targets any specific area, her finisher is joke, and because of her recklessness, her kicks and punches and half of her offense look impotent at best and downright "that looked like shit" at the worst... well, outside of the "holy shit she just killed her! Fire that talent-less idiot already!".

I think the reason the botching is weighed so heavily with Naomi, is the fact that (to me) she has little else to offer but the in ring stuff, and thus if that doesn't look good there's little else to fall back on.

Yes her heel run has been.. decent enough.. but as a face she was just entirely too bland for me personality wise, and even now I think she's not done enough for me to truly become invested in the character, even as a heel.

I don't mind the rest of her in ring work (she throws a decent fake punch, I'll give her that) as much as others seem to do, but at the end of the day that just isn't enough to make me care.

Oh and I'll never get over the stupidity of an ass based finisher. But that's slightly :topic:

I have to say this about Naomi because no one else does, she looks legit in the ring, all the other divas move around like girls, their every movement is girly, Naomi wrestles more like a serious wrestler.

And she's fucking terrible at it.

To her credit, Naomi's change in look does match a heel persona, but she's just consistently terrible in the ring and on the mic, and I have no desire to watch any of her segments at this point.

If you botch all the time that's the only reason you need...Wrestlers have to be able to take care of the wrestlers they work with. You can't be out there putting people's living at risk every week. No union, no benefits, no retirement.... their bodies are their livelihood.

But if you need another reason, how Bout her total lack of psychology???? What is her character exactly??? Theme music is terrible. That's all I got right now. I don't really see what this has to do with paige. Her success has nothing to do with Naomi's lack of success.
Blame the bellas if you're gonna blame anyone...

How exactly is she terrible at it? She botches like a lot of other WWE talents, but it takes 2 wrestlers to pull off a spot and she's not the only WWE wrestler that regularly botches, she's just the one who gets the hate for it. The way she moves in the ring makes the other Divas look like little girls, even down to the way they run the ropes.
