I won't hide it,I was one of the people who didn't like Punk changing his This Fire Burns to Cult Of Personality as I preferred This Fire Burns "hell it was my favorite WWE entrance theme".

Its not that I hate Cult Of Personality,I like it allot and LOVE the lyrics but the music and the way its sang itself just seems "meh" in my opinion.


However,If you would tell me which song out of all the songs Punk has used in his career I preferred the most then it would defiantly have to be Miseria Cantare from AFI.Its just PERFECT and fits heel CM Punk so well,After all CM Punk is one of the best damn heels in the business and watching him as a heel we really do see the beauty of a villain.This might sound cheesy,But I'm just saying how entertaining heel CM Punk is.

So since Punk recently only turned heel,Why don't they change his theme one last time? I really want this to fucking happen,I'd mark out like a child if he were to come out to Miseria Cantare I fucking LOVE that song.Anybody with me?

I cannot fucking stand his current theme song. This fire burns was on another level. The current theme is cookie cutter bullshit and doesnt go at all with the heel gimmick.

If he does change it again I'd prefer if he did it on a big stage, Imagine Punk coming out to this for the first time against Rock at the Rumble(The long Intro and '0.47' the boo's get massive as the song kicks in and he appears at the top of the stage :mark:).

I prefer COP but if he wanted to change it for his current heel persona then fine as long as COP is his main one that he always returns too.

I don't think Miseria Cantare suits Punk now. Parts sound far too ominous and mysterious for his character (it reaches Mankind levels), and the lyrics aren't even in the same ballpark as Cult of Personality. I think CoP fits his current persona perfectly.

That's funny, because I feel the exact opposite. I feel like "This Fire Burns" sounds like a generic hardcore metal song that you would hear in a film or something.

I agree, that's more generic, and he's also wrong that CoP doesn't fit Punk's heel persona because the lyrics certainly do not describe a good guy.

Holy fucking shit man! Because of you if Punk doesn't come out to Miseria Cantare at the Royal Rumble against Rock I'll remember this post and get a little pissed! Though yeah your idea sounds fucking awesome,I just WANT him to use Miseria Cantare so bad.

The lyrics would fit, but COP already fits his character so well anyway, even more than when he was a face.


Plus I'm not so sure the powers that be would want an emotional hardcore song being played every week for months on end.

This is definitely my least favorite of his theme songs. Going back to the AFI song would be cool but just having something that wasn't on Guitar Hero would be enough for me.

Listen to or read the lyrics. It goes with HIS heel gimmick perfectly.

But "This fire burns" will always be my favorite. :)

If Punk changed his theme to anything I'd like to see him use something actually decent. I'm sick of all these cock rock theme songs pretending to be heavy.

Like an actual hardcore song to go with his gimmick. Like edit this intro down:
