I think most would agree that Goldberg made the Spear look really good, and I was wondering (after seeing a couple particulaly brutal spears by him), wheather he was just amazing at making it look real, or if he really using his weight to bring his opponent down, alas making it painful for the reciever? On that note, what other finishers are likely legit painful for the reciever?

Yes. WCW told him multiple times to tone down the Spear because management got complaints from the wrestlers that he was too rough with them. Goldberg came from a football career, so he just looked at his opponents like football players, they're trained to take pain so he just ran them over. That wrecklessness is ultimately what gave Bret Hart a stroke and ended his career. Albeit not by a Spear, it showed that Goldberg was just dangerous in the ring.

That Christian Spear is by far the greatest Spear of all time, by the way. By far, by miles.
