Re: Which is the wrestling show you look forward the most this weekend?

Honestly, I am not super excited for any of the cards.

As I said in another thread, Extreme Rules seems poised to be another overly long WWE event and I don't know if I even want to watch it at all. Admittedly, AJ Vs. Ricochet is an interesting match, and Black Vs. Cesaro caught my eye, but it is hard to get invested when I am not watching Raw and Smackdown week to week. The two tag team main events don't have me interested at all. I am not at all interested in the Seth+Becky deal they have going, and you couldn't pay me to watch an Undertaker match anymore.

Every year for the G1, I only watched the tournament matches that I wanted to watch, and that is not going to change this year. There is no way on Earth I have the time to sit down and watch every single match of every single G1 show, and it is best to just pick and choose. Of the 10 tournament matches this weekend, I'll probably watch Toru Yano vs Tetsuya Naito (I love Yano. He's a hoot), Hiroki Goto Vs. Jay White, and Ospreay Vs. Sanada. I supposed I should watch Moxley's G1 debut match too. I wasn't planning on watching Archer Vs. Fale, but after Archer's strong performance against Ospreay, I might give his matches more attention. The matches I am definitely watching and are most excited about are Cobb Vs. Ishii, Okada Vs. ZSJ, and Tanahashi Vs. KENTA.

For Evolve, I have NEVER watched an Evolve show before, so if I do watch this, it is more out of morbid curiosity and convenience of its availability on the WWE Network. Nothing on the card jumps out to me as must see. I don't know most of these people, and Cole Vs. Tozawa and Riddle Vs. Gulak don't grab me as mega-must see bouts. But again, I'm curious, so I'll probably check it out.

Fight for the Fallen has the match I am most excited for this weekend: Rhodes Brothers Vs. The Bucks. I have been dying to see that match since Double or Nothing first confirmed it, but other than that, this feels like another B Show for AEW to work out its kinks and get ready for All Out and its TV debut in the Fall. The rest of the card just kind of feels like filler. I like that they have a bunch of tag teams lined up, and I guess it'll be nice to finally see The Dark Order do something, but again, I'm not super stoked for it. MJF is once again in a multi-man affair and I'd like to see him in a singles match. Page and Omega are basically in tune up matches before their bigger bouts at All Out. Oh and more Librarian stuff...nice.

So I'd say there are some matches I want to see this weekend, but I can't say there is any show I am particularly excited to go out of my way to see.

Truly a loaded weekend. The best overall card to me is definitely G1 night 3. Kenta/Tana is a dream match. Okada and ZSJ will be fantastic. Ibushi and Evil will be a unique kind of war and Ospreay/Sanada are 2 of the best athletes in all of pro wrestling.

Night 2 isnt far behind with Cobb/Ishii, Goto/White, and Juice/Shingp all being must see.

Re: Which is the wrestling show you look forward the most this weekend?

I'll watch Extreme Rules because as a wrestling fan I feel obliged to watch WWE despite how difficult it is lol. That said, I nearly fell out of love with it entirely a few years ago. It wasn't just for one reason, it was more so wanting it to pick back up again and become more exciting but it just didn't happen and I didn't want to waste my time anymore.. kinda like now.

Rather than watch WWE, I started watching more British wrestling and went back to watch loads of old ROH tapes I had from 2003-2005. It has some really impressive feuds and matches. I really enjoyed CM Punk feuding with Raven, and Danielson's matches go without saying. I watched a lot of Paul London shit from PWG as well, so I'm well into straight up wrestling right now.

I'm really looking forward to the Evolve show and tbh I don't mind that WWE are showing it, it's just easier to watch imo. I don't think I'm going to watch FFTF in all honesty. I loved DON but as soon as the smaller shows outside of All Out were announced, I knew I just wanted their biggest and best and decided it was worth waiting for.

As much as I've tried, I can't get into Japanese wrestling so as much as that may v-trigger people, G1 gets a no :/

I'll be watching AEW. Haven't watched a WWE PPV in a while, don't plan on starting this weekend either.
