Is NXT UK a flop?

I am just asking for the general feeling because I am British, watch Raw, Smackdown, NXT and AEW but have no interest in NXT UK or 205 live, also they have only had like two takeover events.

I think so. I missed the last two episodes without realizing it (I've seen every one each week preceding though.) There's just no one interesting on the UK brand except for Walter; my other favorites like Dunn are on normal NXT now.

Re: Is NXT UK a flop?

Pretty much. It was basically given up on because it was created to combat World of Sport, to prevent World of Sport from signing all the top talent in the UK, then World of Sport died. Now they're just kinda left with a husk of a promotion thats only purpose is to give WALTER a platform to show how much better he is in the ring than everybody in NXT.

I won't watch NXT UK or 205 Live they bring nothing spectacular to the table, I hardly follow NXT and only when something interesting is going on but prefer the Takeover events.

I'm a Raw, Smackdown, PPV, Takeover regular primarily.

Yes but I'd also say that NXT itself is a flop.
It gets way less viewers than Vince Russo's TNA stuff and loses viewers every week. I guarantee that NXT is a massive loss for WWE every year, I doubt that other than the odd diamond in the rough (Strowman, Dream, Owens) I doubt it does anything but drain money.

kobe Re: Is NXT UK a flop?

NXT UK is the only weekly WWE show I've never bothered to watch even once, and I'm hardly unique in that respect, so if success is measured by drawing in viewers, then yes, it's a flop.

Re: Is NXT UK a flop?

It was born dead. WWE only want to monopolize and contractually prohibit individual wrestlers, things like long term development and investment has no meaning to WWE and they just developed a territorial brand and walked away. Other promotions like NJPW were modern and dynamic and formed actual partnerships that benefited UK wrestling fans. LOL 'Royal Quest' was probably better attended than NXT UK Takeover in Cardiff was watched on its network.

Don't feel bad though for NXT UK, RAW only polled 3k viewers in the UK a couple of weeks ago!!
