NXT Has it Rabid Fans That LOVE it but it isn't exactly a huge amount of people. Consistent yeah sure but will it ever appeal to The Masses? Now AEW is beating it in the the ratings that is all people need to say"AEW Is WWEs Worst Nightmare" or "See We Told You"yet RAW and Smack Down have DESTROYED them in the ratings since they have been on tv but all people wanna say is "AEW Destroys NXT In The Ratings" If they had just left things as is like they did with every other new show and just ignored AEW and their Ode To Independent Promotion In A Gymnasium In Australia Roster that would have made more of a statement than anything.

If they had sent KO, Zayn, Nakamura, Bayley back to NXT along with Balor. They probably could've left full sail immediately and most likely would've had a better wrestling show than AEW.

Nice work Vince.

It was always a cult like wrestling product, even if it's owned by WWE.
I'm not surprised it's not doing crazy numbers on TV. It's fine where it is, and it caters to it's loyal fanbase.
TommyWCECM, MEMS, Ace and 1 others like this.

Vince wanted a war, he got one. War is good for business. At least, he thought.

Trying to counter AEW on Wednesdays seems to be backfiring on them. I can't imagine USA is happy if NXT keeps falling like it is. I honestly don't know where the bottom is for NXT right now. I could see it going as low as sub 500k in a few months.

I watch it on dvr later while I watch AEW live and also later on dvr. I like NXT but will support AEW over it because of the stakes. If NXT fails on USA, they just go back to the Network. If AEW fails, they go away forever and that is not good for pro wrestling.

Vince couldn't say, "Ok, AEW you do your thing and we'll do our thing." He had to try and do some type of head to head competition because Vince gonna Vince..

I have a problem believing it was his decision. He never did this before. When IMPACT was at its highest it wasn't close to being competition but they were doing better than AEW is doing and he didn't move Smack Down to whatever day to counter them.

NXT was always on Wednesdays and I believe they always would have gone live on the USA Network.

I like the show. I don’t watch NXT or AEW Dynamite live because I detest commercials. Lol at ratings. I’ll let the companies and TV execs worry about that. Raw is barely watchable and SmackDown is unwatchable right now. I’m happy I have more good wrestling to watch every week.
