I mean, they could've bought it if they really wanted it badly enough.

Fuck these bastards, trying to kill off pro wrestling by starting their developmental territories around the world.

Sure, the biggest wrestling promotion in the world setting up shop in other countries may sound good on paper, but they're only doing it to load up on talent and kill off competition and alternatives (remember how NXT UK came about and how they've lost interest since WOW or whatever was scrapped in the UK). WWE are anti pro wrestling and anti competition. The odds are 99.99% of the guys they sign for these NXT brands go nowhere. I hope they fail miserably with NXT Japan.

Apparently they went with a smaller promotion in Japan. Rumors going around are they'll be announcing WWE NXT on Friday.

Just keep Asuka away from NXT Japan, that's all I ask. I don't want her retiring and becoming a trainer there. You can do whatever else you want with it.

Despite what you may have heard about so-called "smark marks" and the "IWC" some of us are actually here to help. All you have to do is ask.

It should be 100% standard across pro wrestling.

You and I both know that's probably going to be the first thing to happen. Nakamura, Asuka and Kairi will all probably be asked to go to sell tickets there.

They will fail miserably. Wwe doesn't have much of an audience in Japan to begin with. The Japanese audience is very much about honor and shit and they will hate this. They are not touching NJPW/DDT who have billionaires behind them, themselves. Thankfully, Noah didn't bite. They wouldn't have beaten NJPW or DDT, but with Noah, but it would've put a dent. That's all wwe cares about.

Completely agree, though. It's fucking bullshit.

I sure hope they try to send people like Io back there. That's really gonna make your Japanese talent want to stay and not jump ship when their contract is up

Hopefully this motivates NJPW to make moves

I think you forget this is Japan not the UK the poster formerly know as Tyrion. WWE can steamroll the UK scene but Japan is a different story altogether. WWE isn't even that popular in Japan compared to the likes of NJPW or NOAH these are facts. I think they even do well to draw in small crowds to these NXT Japan tapings. As it's know wrestling fan's in Japan are loyal to their companies.

I can see them maybe cherry picking Joshi talent, but rumors going around that Stardom (former home of Io and Kairi and homebase of Riho and Bea from AEW and a lot of non Japanese talent in NXT and NXT uk even the main roster worked there) is going to strike up partnership with NJPW. So that's the biggest Joshi company out of their hands. Even if it's not Stardom, NJPW are going to do with something with Joshi wrestling. So expect them to go out and pick the best talent they can get.

The rumors are Meiko Satomura is going to be head trainer for NXT Japan. Also that means Sendai Girls is on NXT Japan books, and also the rumors that it be Big Japan Wrestling too.

If you don't have NJPW (which WWE were never going to get), NOAH (they struck a deal with Impact) and All Japan Wrestling. Also looking likely that biggest Joshi company in Japan Stardom not jumping aboard. I don't see NXT Japan doing any damage to Japanese scene like they did to UK one.

No way do I see Kairi, Asuka,Io or Nakamura going back full time, they left their companies in Japan for a reason lol. And won't go back to wrestle in front of 200 people or slightly more. What's the point of some top talent leaving Japan just to go back again to work with a company that no one but a cult will watch, like what's happened with NXT UK.
