If you think goldbug is a good worker, thats cool.

I donít.
To go back. My point was actually that Goldberg wouldn't have been better off putting on longer matches with more moves. Because people LOVED Goldberg the Destroyer of Worlds coming out and squashing people.

Not everything in Pro Wrestling has to be about 5 star matches and ridiculous spots. Simple shit like a roided up monster laying waste to people draws, just look at Braun. A man who has been more over at his peak than all the workrate guys on the current roster ever have.
Brock and Sensei Utero like this.

You can catch me, Rih, in the new La Ferrar'

NXT is irrelevant.

It's audience is mainly 50 year old loners who watch everything WWE puts on TV. And the 400 or so geeks who attend the TV tapings. The vast majority of its roster has zero potential to appeal to the wider audience.

Yes, he did.

Goldberg headlined several house shows in early 1999 that drew impressive numbers.

From NWOWolfpacTV:

2/7 in Cleveland, OH drawing 11,541 paying $211,830.
2/26 in San Antonio, TX drawing 14,653 paying $360,395.
2/28 in Greenville, SC drawing sellout 14,642 paying $366,211

It was in the spring of 1999 that WCW really started to decline after a series of bad booking decisions and other issues.

The NXT PPV shows only draw hardcores that travel to watch major WWE PPVs. It doesn't draw by itself. It's audience is mainly 50 year old loners and a small selection of hardcores who spend all their time and money on pro wrestling.

Coldberg has yet to prove that he can actually wrestle. I mean, the one time he tried, he sucked so much that not even William Regal could carry his worthless ass, and then he threw Regal under the bus, bitching to WCW management that Regal had shot on him during their match.

Goldberg is a talentless roid junkie who only had a career because of his size and look, and because WCW was willing to job out their top guys to someone who wasn't even worthy of shining their wrestling boots.

Goldberg is nothing without 1 minute squash matches. Goldberg is a joke, always has been a joke, and always will be a joke. This is how bad he is. Even the Ultimate FUCKING Warrior could wrestle better than he could, and Warrior was natoriously untalented in the ring.

Re: Goldberg: I donít care about NXTÖuntil they move over here then I donít need to talk about them

I think saying that Bill Goldberg is talentless is a bit much. The guy has a mixed martial arts background that was never fully utilized in his early career simply because WCW wanted to use him in short squash matches because of his look and body type. Now did he have the background of a guy like say Bret Hart who's arsenal of moves was virtually limitless? No, but I honestly refuse to believe that if given the opportunity he could have integrated his mixed martial arts background into his arsenal of moves. And let's be perfectly honest, guys like Roman Reigns, John Cena, etc. are very limited in their in-ring arsenal as well, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they are talentless.

FWIW I find the answer to his first question rather telling. I think he already has another match lined up with WWE; maybe in Saudi Arabia? Either another 1-on-1 with Dolph or maybe as a member of Team Hogan where Ziggler is a member of Team Flair? I don't think his response to that question would have been as such unless there was something already planned out.

You can't just say something is factually objective and expect it to be so.

Would you have said that WCW was the minors?

Not really. Ever since Goldberg's streak they've tried undefeated streaks with numerous guys over the years and none of them got as over as Goldberg, and some didn't even get over at all. Goldberg had the intensity, the look, the charisma, and it factor - that so many guys lack and that's why it worked. No one in NXT has the it factor, but just because they have good workrate people think they are better than Goldberg ever was.

If the WWF in the late 90's only cared about workrate they would have lost to WCW. Workrate does not draw and the focus on workrate and the total lack of charismatic characters these days is why wrestling is a pile of shit now with record low attendance and TV viewership.
Brock and attituderocks like this.

You have to go way back to early 99 and shows that likely had tickets sold pre Starrcade.

Yes because wrestling fans were so sophisticated in the 90s. Calling people loners because they like something you don't just makes you come across terribly.

NXT shows on their own have drawn better than Goldberg ppvs in 2000-01.

There was no major WWE ppv the weekend of 25 and it drew full house
