Goldberg is a product of what great booking can do for someone who has size..
Goldberg in his prime couldn't work, dangerous in ring couldn't talk all he had was good booking and when that went away so did his revelancy.
Nonsensical revisionist history. The fans still loved Goldberg even after his loss to Nash. But the titanic was already sinking at that point for 1 million reasons, including but not limited to WCWs insanely stupid handling of Goldberg.
No one has ever been smashed over to the extent that Goldberg has. You say that all you have to do is smash a guy over in squashes to get him over, but name another example where a guy has gotten half as over doing it as Goldberg has. And he did it beating up enhancement talent half of the time, guys like Jerry Flynn, Mike Enos, Roadblock, etc. The squash match is a skill and Goldberg was the best ever at it. Almost no one in the history of the business had the combination of intensity, look, charisma, it factor, athleticism, strength, and believably that Goldberg had. Lol at great booking being the only reason Goldberg got over, the WWE could move the Sun, the Moon, Heaven and Hell itself and they couldn't get guys like Adam Cole or Keith Lee a fraction of a fraction as over as Bill was in 1999, 2003, 2016, or even 2019, let alone 1997 or 1998 where he was arguably the hottest act in the business and just as over as Austin. Hell, even in 2000 when WCW was all but dead and he had that awful heel turn, he was still more over than any of those jabronis will ever be in their lives. There is a reason why WWE has to call up Rock, Austin, Goldberg to pop and number and get people talking. It's because these nobodies don't have it. Half of these guys masquerading as main eventers wouldn't have even been allowed to break into the business 20-35 years ago, and somehow they're on top. That's why the business is fucked.
