Never got to watch them nor do I plan to because I can't stand matches like that. Smarks seem to eat it up and are fine with the absurdity and no selling.
You can make a case for Gargano being the best considering what the majority seem to think of those matches. It's hard to argue against his resume/match catalog (his matches do really well on WON and cagematch). Although I have enjoyed Gargano's work outside the stuff with Cole. If Gargano continues to put on strong matches (a lot of which I will enjoy), it will be hard to argue against him being the WWE in ring GOAT and he may have me in that camp too.
you flip flop with your opinions more than Flipochet does flips, what's up with that?
I literally said the same thing for AJ-Cena at Royal Rumble...
Explicitly said I was sick of those types of matches and the big match/big movez, kick out formula.
NJPW does a lot of it too, but to me they protect the moves and sell moves better. There are still some matches which overdo it and it becomes difficult to get into the match.
The finish was one of the worst most iggregious things I've ever seen. To take that bump, from the top of the cage, through a table, and onto the mat, and for one of the two guys to be able to pin the other like 2 seconds later is absolutely
LMFAO this is the shit I'm talking about. It makes a complete mockery of everything.
And you wonder why I don't watch these matches when I read things like this.
So you hate 50+ minute matches and equate them to njpw when currently they’re wrapping up the G1 where all matches have a 30 minute time limit.
Probably not your finest analogy.
Nah, there was a period they were doing really long matches for singles title defenses. Became a real drag, felt like every match would go 40-50 mins and you'd wait until after the 40 min mark before buying the falls. It hurt the crowd and matches.
