The question is would you rather stay in NXT for now and have direction or goto the main roster and have nothing to do? I'd rather talent stay in NXT until there is a plan for them on the main roster.

Hello guys! I am new here! I saw this topic and I have decided to write my opinion, so... In my opinion, nowadays, NXT has more potential than even smackdown. yeah, I know what I say... in their trying to make raw the numer one show, the creative team of wwe destroyed the smackdown. The recent exemple: the wild card rule.. dude.. roman reigns is on smackdown but he wrestled more in raw. why? don't understand why. I miss that old times of 2006 - 2009 when there was 3 brands raw, smackdown and ecw and there was a real competition. This is my opinion. In conclusion, there should be a transfer of nxt superstars to smackdown and about nxt... let this brand being only a develomental one
PS: Underated wrestler of the day (in my opinion: Matt Hardy). Watch some of the best moments here: https://clk.ink/uK6y
Also, you could watch this awesome match of 2000: the hardyz vs kane in a 2v1 match: https://clk.ink/ZXWTn
Thank you! Have a nice day, champs!

Re: How long does Gargano, Cole etc really needs to be in developmental?

"Development" has changed meaning. Before 2014 it was about NXT developing raw recruits into Main Roster wrestlers. Since then it has been about experienced indy star wrestlers developing the NXT brand into a super indy.

Not entirely, but mostly

Balor, gargano, cole,...... don't need NXT. The hard cam stuff is irrelevant. KO and balor started at the same time. Was balor so much dumber than ko that he took years more to work out where it was? No - he was just the guy who fitted better as NXT champ while ko was more suited to MR. Gargano is just better suited to the NXT brand will stay there as long as it suits WWE.

2 scenarios: If they are building NXT as a THIRD BRAND, stay.

If they are building NXT as DEVELOPMENTAL, move them.

Re: How long does Gargano, Cole etc really needs to be in developmental?

I mean he's not really there to be in developmental.

He was a guy they brought in to fill out the original Dusty Rhodes Classic, brought him on the lower card because he had a good indy history, and then through their booking and his skill he becomes one of the biggest NXT stars in history.

He's there right now because he's still carrying the brand. Plus, his story for the last 2 years was the driving force of NXT. He really couldn't get called up, and I doubt Vince is salivating to get him on the main roster.

Now with Ciampa gone and Gargano losing the title, his time is coming to an end. But what I stated above is why he's been in "developmental" for 4 years.

Put Johnny on the main roster so he can job to Seth,Roman,Drew hell probably even Elias lol.

Its a sad fact that lots that got over in NXT seem to regress on the MR.

Johnny has said a couple times that NXT IS the main roster. That should put on a shirt. I think Johnny wants to stay in NXT

Hopefully forever... I don;t want anyone from NxT to go to the main roster. In fact can we get Ricochet and Alestair Black back...

To me NXT kind of has "main roster" and a "developmental roster". I will admit there is various levels of overlap though.

Guys like UA, Gargano, etc. These are the guy and girls that tour the country doing the nationwide shows. These are the people you see on TV every week that are probably closest ready to be moved up. This is kind of the "main roster" in NXT.

Then there are the NXT house shows that tour around FL and play small venues where seating may be 200-300. These are the guys you rarely see on TV. Usually they'll have one or two names from the nationwide tour on the card, but its mostly the guys they are trying to develop. I kind of think of this as the developmental part of NXT.

Re: How long does Gargano, Cole etc really needs to be in developmental?

NXT is still a developmental but only for Paul Levesque/Triple H's brand image. So, names like Gargano & Cole will remain however long it can help grow HHH's reputation as a booker. If they can no longer draw well for NXT, they'll go up and perpetuate a fake struggle of bad booking to promote HHH's booking.

I don't even see NXT as a developmental place. I see it now as a 3rd brand.

The performance center should be for developmental before they go to NXT
