You're fixating on the negative for no reason. By your rationale, I should never watch good movies starring my favorite actors because they'll inevitably be in crappy movies down the road. Should I stop liking my favorite local band since they might one day sign a record deal and become generic corporate crap?
You can't approach life, and especially entertainment, that way or you'll drive yourself nuts.
Normally I agree with your posts in threads, but this one I disagree with. It's not that I'm looking at the negative "for no reason", there is totally a reason; which is seeing your favorites get buried one after the other after another. I like a wrestler, get invested into them during their time in NXT, see them get called up thinking maybe they will be different than the others, and they get ruined. Either absurd booking, or they're just gone from my television screen. Then I have to say "fuck you Vince, this sucks" find another favorite, and same thing. Rinse and repeat. And it's been that way for years, so yeah, I'm starting to get tired of it.
It's even been reported before that Vince doesn't care about NXT and its wrestlers, and that any call-up, he likes to book them into a massive hole just to see if they are capable of clawing themselves out. 99% don't.
I don't particularly agree with your examples, it's a little different. When you like a movie actor, TV show, band, whatever; you don't know what their future is. If they make a great hit, you follow and support them, and hope that they will continue to make more successful projects in the future. Some of course will be better than others. I don't ever think to myself "man, it's going to suck when they inevitably go down hill", because I don't know that.
But with NXT wrestlers, that's the thing, I KNOW that the majority of them won't be successful; because we've seen it so many times now over the years.
An example I would use is let's say you're single and are looking for a partner. You start talking to a girl, you think you like her, then after the first date she completely ghosts you. Never hear from them again. You'll think "man, that sucks", but you'll move on to the next one. And say the same exact thing happens with the next girl, she ghosts you after the first date. Then the next girl, and the next girl. Always after the first date.
Now let's just say this happens for a year or 2 straight with multiple different women ghosting you without succeeding at getting a second date. After awhile, you're going to become frustrated. You won't "give up" on dating per-se, but you'll start developing a self-fulfilling prophecy with thoughts like "welp, this girl will probably ghost me just like the others" which will sound negative, but possibly true because you're so used to it happening.
Same thing applies in my opinion with NXT call-ups.
