Re: NXT Takeover XXV June 1st Location Announced

I don't think Triple H cares about what happens on the main roster when it comes to NXT booking. I don't think he cares about the articles either. He's obsessed with these MMA losers for some reason, even with any impetus or reason for the push gone now with Ronda and Sasha both gone for the foreseeable future. But his obsession still isn't changing.

It's not that I'm disputing Cole's popularity, it's more that I don't think there's much for NXT to gain anymore with a Cole title reign. It'll be fine, but not much different from what we've seen from Undisputed since they arrived. It would basically just be a retread of last year, with some new features added but essentially the same.

The likely course is that Cole and Undisputed will run wild for a while and then be stopped by Matt Riddle.

Whereas putting it on Dream or even Riddle would bring something new to the table. Dream is just unique no matter what he does. Riddle could have some hard hitting fights with guys like Dijak or Keith Lee.

Cole? What would be different? Maybe his run with TUE would force some truly weird alliances on the babyface side throughout NXT. That would work, but somehow, I just don't think that happens.
I don't think you realize that last year, despite having gold TUE were NEVER dominant. They still got their asses handed to them, an NXT were The Era can be dominant and hold the gold will build the urge for new faces. With Cole as the heel world champion, you open so many doors for babyfaces to become major. Riddle, Dream, KUSHIDA, Swerve, Lee. Cole's reign is exactly what NXT needs to build some faces, this won't be a Ciampa reign where it's soley focused on one challenger, this would be a reign with unpredictability.

All Time Favorites: 1.)Steve Austin 2.)Adam Cole 3.)Chris Jericho
Currents: TUE, Moxley, Naito, Bryan, Riddle, Ziggler, Suzuki, Ripley, Lacey & Royce.

I imagine a stipulation will be added to Gargano vs Cole given the already has a 2 out of 3. Going back to a straight up singles match wouldn't make much sense. I guess Cole is saying he won the first fall before.

A ladder match?

Ladder match would be the best option, good call out. Wonder if UE will be intact by then

Re: NXT Takeover XXV June 1st Location Announced

I'm still thinking that "TUE tension" might end up being a misdirection in the end, we'll see.

And yes, Shayna's reign has gotten stale. All of her feuds follow the same formula, and she hasn't grown/evolved as a character in a long time. Also her two buddes are not even close to being ready, and there's no point in trying to do the HW vs. HW thing with things being unclear with Sasha.

And since they've had her clean out the entire division at this point, if Io doesn't beat her, then who the Hell is left to do it?

Re: NXT Takeover XXV June 1st Location Announced

Bought some $20 tickets to the show. I really hope they keep this under 3 hours. I'm staying with a friend on Long Island that lives 20 minutes from the ferry on Long Island. The show starts at 7 and the last ferry to Long Island is at 10:15. The arena is right next to the ferry. But regardless of how good this show is I have to walk out of the venue at 9:45 or I spend the night in Bridgeport. I'm not spending the night in Bridgeport.

On a second note, I don't watch NXT aside from the Takeovers. I am amazed at how many abbreviations are used on this thread that I have no idea what they are.

I would love ladder match from these 2. We can play the game of who takes the sickest bump.

You know I have an idea of how this Cole and Roddy thing could play out on this show and how it could lead to Cole winning the title. Honestly almost afraid of saying out loud, lol. But:

Spoiler for Fantasy Prediction:
I don't know how the tapings played out, but imagine a situation where Roddy quits TUE. Regal then bars all TUE members from ringside for the Takeover match. Roddy comes out near the end, pretends he'll attack Cole, only to attack Gargano with the ref down and Cole wins the title. And it works because at the time Roddy was not apart of TUE.

And now that I said it, it probably won't happen, lol.
