Main Event was very, very good. The rest were not even worth the time of your life. Sorry to be harsh.

Big Dave spot on once again. Although the opening tag should've been ranked a little higher at **** 3/4

I like Meltzer and I'm always interested in hearing about what he thinks about shows and matches, but he's really lost me ever since the seven star bullshit. And now rating a match 5 and a half stars, it's just ridiculous.

I got bored during Dunne/Walter. And why can't they just keep it to 1-5 star? None of this half a star bollocks.

For everyone that's going to poo-poo his rating of the main event, you have to remember that Dave includes emotion in match ratings. He's sat ringside at PWG about a billion times and watched both Cole and Gargano grow up. He loves those guys and that has a lot to do with how he rated that match.

I think I agree overall although I think he gave too much to the women's match. I may have rated Dunne/Walter 4.5 as well, I didn't care for the slow start.

Didn't Metlzer admit in several occasions that his personal emotional investment in a match influence the ratings?

It's not an open secret that Metlzer is biased, so it's stupid to get offended when Metlzer rates something different than you

I don't get why such a concept is so hard to get

Re: Meltzer's NXT Takeover New York ratings.

Just one man’s opinion, and that one man obviously has adoration for both Gargano & Cole.

It’s whatever, but Dunne/Walter & Dream/Riddle were better matches, and the tag title match was in the same ball park. 900 kick outs, interference, and superhero booking doesn’t appeal to me much. But, hey, to each their own 🥂
