Velveteen Dream vs. Buddy Murphy?

Wonder if this is setting up a match for the NA title on the next tapings? Would probably be a great match if so.

Re: Velveteen Dream vs Buddy Murphy?

I actually prefer to think that the Dream was just waiting around talking shit about everyone who lost at Wrestlemania, "Where's your title at"

Re: Velveteen Dream vs Buddy Murphy?

Is that legit as Murphy was exiting back after his title loss at WM? Damn. I can't believe wwe books with such foresight to have the angle planned. I think Murphy going back to NXT in any Superstar Shake-up could be good for him - get the CW stank off him.

Hell put him in a faction with Thorne and Jonah Rock.

After that tweet, WWE will shorten his name to Murphy.

Yeah, that's the other thing I was thinking may be possible. As much as I try to defend 205 because I do think it's a really good weekly show, WWE clearly doesn't care about it one little bit and so Murphy has earned an opportunity to showcase his talent on a bigger platform. He would tear it up on a Takeover, that's for sure.

I might go along with that "improvement". Buddy might be different in Australia, but to my ear I think of Buddy Lembeck from "Charles in Charge" and the 80's doll "My Buddy" and it's commercial -

Yeah, those just mean I'm old. But then there is also Buddy the Elf, from "Elf" who was played for laughs. Just can't take the name seriously.

Watch wwe shorten it to "Buddy". And his catchphrase will be "I'm not your Buddy, Pal".

Buddy is right up there with Dolph as a career limiter.

Re: Velveteen Dream vs Buddy Murphy?

I honestly don't know if that's planting the seeds for something or Dream just doing Dream things.

And even for Dream, almost seems a little too random. But Buddy going against guys like Dream, Gargano, Cole, Riddle, etc. sounds awesome on paper.
