Tomasso Ciampa opens up about his injury

That was tough to watch . If he comes back (hopefully) the irony will be that he will be the biggest babyface in NXT

I 100% blame Vince McMahon. I wish him a quick recovery though, the guy is awesome at what he does and seems to be a genuinely great human being.

And you're right, I have no idea how they pick up where they left off with the Gargano feud because he will most definitely be a babyface upon his return.

I'll have to watch that later. I saw his Twitter post earlier this week where he basically said he's been told that even if he comes back, it will be on borrowed time. Reminds me of Edge.

That was horribly depressing.
Ciampa is a Kowalski guy who I first saw wrestle as Tommy Penmanship up around Boston probably around 2006. It's been an absolute thrill watching his rise these past few years.
I hope that his health improves so he can live a full, healthy, happy life without constant pain.
If he can do that and can still safely get in the ring then that's just icing on the cake.

Why?
Ciampa was already dealing with the neck injury prior to being called up to the main roster, that's why he was taking it easy in NXT. When Vince called him up, supposedly it was without HHH knowing, meaning that Vince didn't care to inquire about the neck injury or any storylines going on in NXT at the time. I'm sure things would have been different if Vince cared to inquire about how bad it was. His ratings were down so he wanted to do anything he could to get them back up, even if it meant calling up these guys for no reason to generate buzz.

He brings him up and further aggravates his neck by having him pull double and triple duty on the main roster. It was careless, reckless, and irresponsible. He made the issue a lot worse than it was before. If the reckless news reports about Vince wanting to "prove HHH wrong" are true, then it's definitely on Vince. Now he has Black/Ricochet working RAW, SD, NXT, AND house shows every week. How long before their bodies start to break down? All because he refuses to build up the talent he already has.

They are not working NXT or NXT house shows anymore. They also haven't done main roster house shows yet

Very sad . But also very happy for them and their baby. I can't even imagine what they went through with that miscarriage.

Hope he is able to get back to the ring.

He worked 2 extra matches. That's it.

And as for Ciampa working those 2 matches, that doesn't happen if he doesn't have medical clearance, he doesn't work those matches or 2 matches in one night at the following NXT Tapings.

The issue was there before the call up. And he was always going to end up on an operating table. Even if you want to somehow believe that those 2 matches prevented him from working Takeover, even if he had gotten to that show, he would have needed surgery immediately afterwards.

So 100% blaming Vince is to ignore all the injuries and matches Ciampa had before in NXT while HHH knew himself of the injury and blame it on 2 extra matches. If you believe that, then you should blame HHH for putting DIY in the Dusty Classic the very next night and having him wrestle twice in one night. At the end of the day, this was simply unavoidable, and it's no one person's fault.

He posted this about the video.

He's right. After that, he'd have to kill a litter of puppies in the ring to get booed again.
