NXT UK Discussion Thread *Spoilers Included*

First tapings for NXT UK in Cambridge tonight, here's how the arena looks...

From what I can decipher from Twitter, they taped 3 episodes and the matches were as follows:

Night 1:

El Ligero beat James Drake (Think this was a dark match)
Joe Coffey beat Mark Andrews - Coffeys beat down Andrews till Webster made the save.
Toni Storm beat Nina Samuels
Mustache Mountain in ring promo
Mastiff beat Sid Scald
Pete Dunne beat Noam Dar to retain UK title
Kenny Williams vs Joseph Connors - Matched stopped due to injury to Connors
Dakota Kai beat Killer Kelly
Ashton Smith beat Tucker
Gibson promo with nuclear heat, Dar interrupts to set up match for later
Trent Seven beat Huxley (Jesus guy from first tournament)
Flash Morgan Webster beat Mark Coffey - Coffeys attack after match but Banks and Andrews make save
Tyler Bate beat Wolfgang
Danny Burch beat Sam Gradwell - Calls out Pete Dunne for a UK title match afterwards
Zack Gibson beat Noam Dar in the final match of the evening

Night 2:

Killer Kelly beats Millie McKenzie (Dark Match)
El Ligero beat Wild Boar
Moustache Mountain beat Huxley and Gradwell
Isla Dawn beat Nina Samuels
Mark Andrews beat Wolfgang - Coffeys beat down Andrews afterwards, Flash Morgan Webster makes save before Wolfy aligns himself with the Coffeys and we have a new stable.
Jordan Devlin beat Tucker
Zack Gibson beat Amir Jordan - Trent Seven calls out Gibson afterwards, Gibson walks away.
Dave Mastiff beat Chief Deputy Dunne
Ligero beat James Drake
Wolfgang and Coffeys lay out Ashton Smith on his way to the ring and then call out BSS who don't respond.
Eddie Dennis beat Scala?
Jordan Devlin beat Kenny Williams
Toni Storm beats Dakota Kai - Jinny attacks Kai after the match
Coffeys and Wolfgang beat Andrews, Smith and Webster
Pete Dunne retains UK Championship against Danny Burch

I'm excited for this. Is NXT UK going to have their own Network show?

Yeah, it seems that way. I think there were rumors they may look to get it on TV here but I think they might have been just that (rumours). No air date announced as of yet, to my knowledge.

This doesn't sound too good...

Dakota looking likely to be a permanent fixture in the UK Women's division then? Weird move if so.

Maybe she'll just be a part of the initial tournament (or however they decide to crown the 1st champion) in order to help a little bit with the quality. I don't know much about the NXTUK women but from the little I've seen (Toni Storm aside), it didn't look great.

Sounds like Saint is struggling, he did seem/sound a little uncomfortable at the UK Championship special. Hopefully he can grow into the role.

I actually subscribe to Pro Wrestling Eve so I've seen the likes of Charlie Morgan and Nina Samuels quite a bit, not seen much of Isla Dawn and Progress subscribers will know more about Jinny; however from comments she seems better at character work rather than Wrestling.

Charlie Morgan is the current Pro Wrestling Eve Champ, tbh I'm not sure her style fits the WWE mould, she relies heavily on her daredevil antics, something which the WWE product will take away from her.

Nina Samuels has potential and is currently one of my faves to watch, solid in the ring and can cut a great heel promo.

Of course the likes of Viper, Bea Priestley and Kay Lee Ray are signed to WOS, some others are working in Japan, some others just aren't to WWE standard.

I mean...dude is 77 years old . I was surprised they went with him tbh. Kind of a shame that Regal is such a solid GM for NXT because he would have been perfect for the UK show.

Sounds good, thanks for the insight. Wish KLR and Viper were in the division, but if they stick to the top 4/5 then mix in some NXT talent (Dakota, Tegan) they should have the makings of a good division then.

Damn, I didn't realize he was so old Drake Maverick would also have made a great GM for the show, doing fantastically on 205.
