Requesting: AJ Styles New Japan watchlist

Basically I plan to watch:

- his debut/first appearance

- his most important matches in chronological order

- his departure/last appearance

Number 2 is the one I'll obviously need the most help with so any and all lists are welcome

vs. Okada (Wrestling Dontaku 2014)
vs. Okada (Back To Yokohama Arena)
vs. Naito (G1 Climax 24)
vs. Minoru Suzuki (G1 Climax 24)
vs. Tanahashi (G1 Climax 24)
vs. Naito (Wrestle Kingdom 9)
vs. Tanahashi (The New Beginning in Osaka 2015)
vs. Ibushi (Invasion Attack 2015)
vs. Okada (Dominion 2015)
vs. Tanahashi (G1 Climax 25)
vs. Okada (King of Pro-Wrestling 2015)
vs. Nakamura (Wrestle Kingdom 10)

^ I'd say those are his most important matches there.

Would you say all his big moments are in those matches and that they summarize his run?

Thanks btw

His career was brief and straight-forward. All of his singles matches would/could be something to see, as he didn't have an outrageous number to watch. Go from this list and then you'll have all the information you need:

https://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=8...nType=&worker=

78 matches in total; 31 were singles.

For me, his best match was vs Naito G1 Climax 24 - 7/26/14.

After I watched his match with Suzuki I started asking if it was fair to consider him the best in the world. His psychology and selling in that match was top notch. And I don't even look for that stuff in a wrestling match. Easily one of my favorite matches in any promotion. That whole g1 was fantastic though!

I would add his match with the returning Yoshi Tatsu because I feel it's pretty significant.

Re: Requesting: AJ Styles New Japan watchlist

While not a match I'd add 2014 Invasion Attack show to see AJ's debut and 2016 NYD to see Omega turning on him. I think these, and mentioned matches here, give full picture of his NJPW run.

Yep I'd say so. Also would add his last match there, the day after Wrestle Kingdom 10 w/ Kenny Omega vs. Nakamura & YOSHI-HASHI there. Originally didn't think it was "important enough", but honestly it's a pretty big & great moment.
