Re: NJPW Royal Quest in London 8/31/19

Still a long way to go obviously but this is a big show with a LOT of other wrestling going on that day so I'd be surprised if they don't go big and give us Okada defending against either ZSJ or MiSu in the main event, depending on if either one of them beat him or go to a draw with him in the G1.

Assuming this airs live I fully intend to watch this over that NXT UK Takeover, which... idk what the hell they were thinking there. Looks like this show should be a sellout too:

What about Okada/Ospreay as main event? If Ospreay is in G1 he could draw/pin Okada and challenge him here. I think it would be bigger match than Ishii/ZSJ/Suzuki in UK even if I'd like it less.

Re: NJPW Royal Quest in London 8/31/19

Just been announced by RevPro that they will be holding a tag team tournament with the winners (the Final will be at their Summer Sizzler event on Aug 30th) will be fighting for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at Royal Quest.

Would be epic to see Aussie Open vs GoD for the titles. Hopefully they add an Okada defence and if Ospreay is facing Okada, then hopefully Ishii defends NEVER title.

With Okada already beating ZSJ and Ospreay's health very much in question for the rest of the tournament, definitely thinking we may see Okada vs. Minoru Suzuki as the main event here.

No no no no no! Why are they using UK guys in this spot? Grrr Takes me back to last years 'NJPW' show that turned out to be a Rev Pro show. They need to keep Rev Pro as far away from this as possible. I don't know or care for UK talent, if I want to watch them I will go to the local shows Rev Pro puts on. Its so frustrating... keeping positive though :P

Because they're not gonna put on a tag team championship match that the Japanese fans would probably care to see more. It's like Mikey Nicholls recently getting an IWGP Tag Team Championship match during the Australian double-shot. That's how they do things.

Re: NJPW Royal Quest in London 8/31/19

Personally, Id rather see a top RevPro team vs GOD in a title match than a make shift NJPW team. Australia had Mikey Nicholls teaming with Juice so unless they did ZSJ & a member of Suzuki Gun or Ospreay & a partner, a top RevPro is the best local tag defence they can do.

I'm hoping for more IWGP title defences this year but i wouldnt mind if they do RevPro British Cruiserweight Match between El Phantasmo vs Robbie Eagles as it has already got an excellent back story, built purely on NJPW shows. They could do Phantasmo & Ishimori defended the IWGP Jr Tag Titles against Eagles & partner but the 1v1 has some potential.

if they do go with say Ospreay challenging Okada for IWGP Heavyweight title, i can see ZSJ defending the RevPro Hevayweight title also, especially since he defended it at their joint MSG show with ROH. If ZSJ does, him vs Ibushi would be incredible but wouldnt be against him vs Tanahashi II due to Tanahashi being a huge star. Im just hoping they dont do a 6 man tag main event of Okada, Tanahashi & Ospreay vs Suzuki Gun Or Bullet Club trio.

Re: NJPW Royal Quest in London 8/31/19

I think on junior side there is enough material for ELP/Eagles, ELP/Ospreay and Eagles/Ospreay vs ELP/Ishimori. So if next A block show ends with Okada beating Ospreay I can see one of the last two matches happening here.

I had another thought about big match for this show and I wonder if ZSJ beats Ibushi, Ibushi wins G1 and we have a briefcase defence here? Or maybe even Ibushi/KENTA?
