Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio (United States Championship)

Quote:
Former WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion and Royal Rumble winner. Rey Mysterio has climbed countless mountains and seemingly done it all in WWE. Perhaps no honor would be sweeter, however, than winning his first United States Title from Samoa Joe at WWE Money in the Bank, especially since his son Dominick will be keeping a close eye on the championship fight at the May 19 pay-per-view, and winning the title would make The Ultimate Underdog a Grand Slam Champion.

At WrestleMania, Mysterio suffered a devastating one-minute loss to the vicious titleholder, as Dominick sat at ringside. Fueled with new resolve and a determination to prove that he still has what it takes to be a champion in WWE, the masked competitor returned to Raw and redeemed himself with a non-title victory in a rematch against the ruthless Joe.

Mysterio not only earned another opportunity at the U.S. Title with his victory, but a proud Dominick also met Rey at the top of the stage and hoisted his father up on his shoulders.

Will the masked legend finally conquer arguably the most vicious and sadistic Superstar in WWE and become a Grand Slam Champion? Don’t miss WWE Money in the Bank, streaming live on Sunday, May 19, at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network!

I’m not sure, I get the feeling we’re getting the WWE twist and ‘Samoa Dom’.

Re: Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio (United States Championship)

Damnit...they had to throw the grand slam aspect in there. Makes me think Rey is winning... you know how they have a boner for history. I was kind of hoping we'd see Joe choke out Rey and dominick...

I have to keep telling myself that this isn't what they hired Joe for. They told him he'd never see anything beyond nxt. He's older... he's fat.... I have to tell myself that seeing him on wwe main roster TV at all is a treat.

But my heart still wants to see Joe wreck shit! I'm still that young man that saw his early days in tna and felt like I missed out on this whole roh thing. I'm pulling for Joe! But I won't get my Hope's up

Re: Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio (United States Championship)

I hate to do it, but I voted for Mysterio. Joe has been booked like an absolute joke lately with all the roll-ups. Joe beat Mysterio in their last PPV match within 2 minutes, so the notorious 50-50 booking will be Joe's downfall.
