WON: Borash's departure was very sudden

Quote:
"Jeremy Borash, a key player in Impact Wrestling from its inception, gave notice suddenly to the company on 1/28 that he was headed to WWE.

Borash, 43, was the lead television announcer, but was also the key guy who would go to the promotions all over the world and film the material that would air on Impact. According to PW Insider, which broke the original story, Borash was at the WWE events this past weekend in Philadelphia, telling people he was there visiting friends. He had actually been flown to Stamford earlier as several people had put him over to Paul Levesque, who made the decision to hire him. By Sunday, he had already told his friends at TNA that he would be leaving.

Borash will be moving to Orlando to work with the NXT brand where he’ll wear several different hats, similar to what he did with TNA over the years.

Those close to the situation said that he surveyed the changing landscape in pro wrestling and felt that this was the time to make a move that he’d avoided making in the past. It seems pretty clear that Levesque is building a front office foundation in NXT and will have his own crew ready whenever the day comes that he’s in charge of the main roster."

While clearly a very valuable part of the company from the start, one person in the company noted that the idea going around that he did everything when it came to production was way overblown.

“The narrative that JB did everything is wrong. Yes, he was a hard worker and talented, but our team now has been busting their ass and taking care of the majority of production. They need credit. Day-to-day operations don’t change one bit at all other than getting another on-air play-by-play (announcer).”

Kevin Sullivan, who did the production work for the Internet hype of Wrestle Kingdom 9 that Jeff Jarrett promoted, has been handling much of the video work along with Ben Coile and Eric Tompkins.
Should be noted as well only one of the roster (Allie) have only publically wished Borash well.

Sunrise, wrong side of another day,
Sky high and six thousand miles away,
Don't know how long I've been awake,
Wound up in an amazing state,
Can't get enough,
And you know it's righteous stuff,
Goes up like prices at Christmas,
Motorhead, remember me now Motorhead!

He should go help Matt Hardy with his Woken character.

Impact (TNA) roster was always changing. Sure Borash and Abyss was always there, but still.

Compare 2002 to 2004, 2004 to 2006, 2006 to 2008 and so on.
You'll see they always were liket hat.

Losing backstage influence/'power' is the usual reason behind such departures. And Don/Scott are no Dixie, so you're not gonna get your shit OK'd just because.

I theorized it may have been for this reason. He also likely received a pay cut, and many of his friends now work in WWE, so a combination of all sorts really!
