As a singles competitor. I foresee multiple mid card championship reigns for him as a heat magnet heel. He also makes a fantastic heel because he is a great seller. People naturally hate him because he is just a goofy fuck, and he is also an easy target for cheesy faces to make jokes on.
He'll be a top mid card heel on one brand or the other. He'll be the more successful member of the tag team with he and Gabriel. (they should actually feud with Gabriel turning face.. would be good stuff)
Oh, slaters gonna slate for sure. I'm a fan though.. I find his lame ass accent hysterical, and he is one of the more entertaining sellers in the WWE today
To rephrase the great Gorilla Monsoon, Heath Slater is the perfect advertisement for Birth Control! They should use his face outside Planned Parenthood to drive up business!
Well, I guess somebody is going to have to be a midcard heel once the likes of Ziggler, Rhodes, Sheamus and Del Rio move up to full time main event status.
Sheamus, Mr. Ziggles, Rhodes will probably become full-time main-eventers in the next few years (Rhodes will probably go back and forth between World and Mid-card titles though imo)... Anyway, I can see Slater being the major mid-card heel during that time... I really hope he works on his mic skills, but at the same time hope he does not work on his accent lol...
I miss Sheamus. I really do. He got annoying during his title reigns, but he's grown on me. Compared to 97% of the roster, he's gold. He's one of the few that actually breathe some life into the show. His intensity and passion really show in his promos.
End the brand split, condense the rosters, and we can have Sheamus, Punk, Cena, Orton, Miz, ADR, and possibly Christian as WWE title contenders. More contenders = We won't see the title be passed around between 3 guys. Hell, Cena shouldn't even get the title anymore. He should be putting the young guys over.
I really enjoyed Sheamus when he debuted, he was really aggressive and passionate. A little green on the mic, mostly probably jitters and nerves about the accent, but passable. Good, strong moveset and a dominating presence in the ring.
Then they fucking blew it by making him run away from everything, stealing victories, etc.
I'm not kidding, the guy is (perhaps unintentionally, but I can't be so sure personally0 hilarious, a great seller, and he isn't that awful in the ring. The look is so awful it's good, so like I said his hilarious look is a natural heat magnet. He will be a great heel, I truly believe this.
Slater has absolutely horrible, HORRIBLE mic skills, possibly worse than Swagger or Morrison. This combined with his annoying accent and his vomit inducing look will ensure that he never rises above midcard level.

Morrison doesn't even know when to START or STOP speaking during a face-to-face promo... He fumbled almost every single line he's had for 2 years. The last time I had any appreciation for Morrison's promo ability is the final dirt sheet with the Miz for Bragging Rights.
LOL @ Morrison being better on the Mic than Heath Slater,I struggle to think of many worse than Morrison.
Slater's not that bad on the mic, much better than Gabriel and Zeke.
His accent just makes people think otherwise,on the plus side though,it's great for drawing heat.
You couldn't pay Slater's own family to jump on the charisma sucking bandwagon. Congratulations you can sell a punch, so can Jack Evans, and you both still suck.
Honestly id have to agree . For some reason i just cant see Gabriel being around for a long time as I cant really see him being able to change his character whereas with Slater I could see his character changing a number of differant ways .
Ive always been a fan of Heath. I dont like his current character becuase he doesnt really have one. He isnt the greatest wrestler, but he could always improve. I dont see a main event run in him, but yes, he could be a great midcard heel for most of his career.
Slater's not even that bad on the mic. It's just his accent. Same goes for Gabriel, both men are decent enough on the mic, their accents just make it appear otherwise.

I nothing heath slater. I don't like him and I don't hate him. I don't have a reason to do either. He's one of those guys who just exist and is always there. Maybe I will see a spark or something that will give me a reason to believe he will/wont make it. But just based off him being nothing I have no opinion.
WWE's roster is so pityfully (is that a word?) embarrasing today its untrue. How in the name of fuck guys like Miz, Swagger and Sheamus have become world champions, is a testiment to that.
All three would be in the mid-card jobbing 10 years ago.
As for Slater?
He just about sums up the Corre and Nexus, i.e = midcard for life.
