Orton has the presence to be a star, Miz only has charisma when he's holding a stick, when he's in the ring he looks like a generic indy wrestler and that is simply not enough to be considered a world title holder in the WWE to me. In other words, he doesn't have charisma as a whole and that is something that's need to make it as a star. Cena might be a pretty terrible wrestler, but he can work a match and showcase his charisma during matches. Miz on the other hand, with all the mic time he has got has gotten a barely passable reaction from the crowd. There is no single move from the Miz that gets a reaction, he's basically the opposite of Morrison.
LOL, Orton has presence. Sure. Orton walked into a world title match at WrestleMania 22 against Angle and Mysterio and got absolute, dead SILENCE. He took 5 years to get consistently over on a huge level and when he did become big, it was the result of Vince McMahon forcing him down people's throats. He wouldn't even have a job in the WWE if it wasn't for his name.

Calling Cena a "pretty terrible wrestler" is dumb too, considering that he's involved in most of the best matches every year. As for Miz's overness, he's getting a "passable" reaction because he's not in the main event. Midcard wrestling has become increasingly useless in the WWE and they typically only respond to the main eventers. Sheamus, Barrett, Swagger all had to be thrown into the ME to create heat, that's just what happens. Miz would be drawing a lot of heat if the WWE hadn't bastardized their midcard but they don't care anymore. When he wins the title, as he should do if Orton doesn't ruin his career like he's done to others, he's going to take off and will be fine.

Probably because most people watch the WWE for the athletic aspect of it, not the entertainment part. Why in the world would you watch something like the WWE for entertainment purposes as opposed to a sitcom or something like that?
Why in the world would you watch a FAKE sport for the athletic aspect when you can just watch UFC?

Most people watch it for the athletic aspect...what nonsense. I guess that explains Hulk Hogan's popularity, because he was SUCH a great athlete.

WWE would go out of business if they didn't offer promos anymore and just focused on wrestling. Vince McMahon claims to be in the Entertainment business, not in the Wrestling business. Maybe people should take note of that.

By calling Cena a terrible wrestlers, I obviously meant his repartoire of moves and his depth of telling a story. If you checked my comment of calling him one of the best workers you would understand that beeing able to do 100 spots and submissions isn't needed to put on a great match.

As for Miz, he is beeing somewhat in the mainevent yet his reactions when he enters the ring are barely mentionable. A truly charismatic wrestler gets heat as soon as he enters the ring, like Jericho when he was booked stronger. If Jericho could get great reactions from the get go (watch his debut in WWF) then why shouldn't a guy who gets around 2-3 minute promo time every week for years still look like nothing in comparison. Getting a few cheap heat from random comments doesn't make him look good, if Amazing Red would be in WWE he would probably get bigger pops which is true considering that people care more about Evan Bourne, the ultimate jobber when he enters the ring as opposed to the Miz, who actually won important matches.

"WWE.com feels it's time to come clean. A few years ago we played a practical joke on the world which lead to the a series of publicity for the WWE. Anyways, we thought we'd tell you today. Chris Benoit is alive LOL, he'll be bac at work next week."

Love or hate Orton, I think his charisma is undeniable.

And I don't. He's one of the dullest people I've ever seen in my life. He's the exact same wrestler as Drew Mcintyre minus an accent.

Question Re: Your dream wwe.com story

WWE.com August, 2, 2010.

“Just in during a press conference meeting, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) was able to finally achieve his contract incentive bonus and signed another largest contract in SmackDown history!-As he is once again the highest paid athlete in WWE. All of his expensive accessories including his NFL-like inflatable tunnel is returned. MVP made certain comments about “pandering to the crowd got him nowhere and he should’ve always looked out for one person only and that was himself”.

WWE.com August, 15, 2010

“At Summer-Slam MVP defeated Kane and became the New World Heavyweight Champion after Kane had issue an open challenge for his World title on the line after defeating Rey Mysterio.”

Hey a guy can dream...

Re: Your dream wwe.com story

Yeah but is that just because you've heard him speak and you are familiar with that monotony - if Orton made his debut as he is now and silently walked down the aisle during a main event on raw I think most people would be like "whooh fuck, who is this guy?" - that for me is what charisma is all about. Orton has a super cool look and carries himself like a true star and that makes him charismatic regardless of his mic skills or any other abilities.

Which is funny considering that after a few legit comments you have no defense for the oh so charismatic Miz. Hell if I started to say that McIntyre is the next Rock I'm pretty sure you'd buy into it.

Re: Your dream wwe.com story

I think too many people on here confuse mic skills with charisma. Take Jeff Hardy as an example - can get a pop out of virtually anything he does in the ring but speaks like a retard.
