Re: What is the biggest news story of 2010? (So Far)

Bret Hart returning to WWE.
Reconciling with Shawn Michaels, fighting Vince McMahon at WrestleMania, winning the Intercontinental championship in Toronto, becoming GM of Monday Night RAW and now getting a major part in the Nexus storyline. 2010 has been the year of Bret Hart for sure.

Bret Hart returning to the WWE and reconciling with Shawn Michaels. Then BD's release.

Bret Hart hugged Shawn Michaels. On RAW. Without security guards surrounding the ring.

If reading that sentence doesn't make you pinch yourself to check that you're not dreaming, then you must think that the Hatfield and McCoy feud is a work.

Re: What is the biggest news story of 2010? (So Far)

There are different ways of looking at this list, but I'm going to say, WWE's NXT debut, and perhaps the Nexus angle tied to it. NXT is proof positive that the Youth Movement is the wave of the future, it's where Vince's and the company's top people's heads are primarily in these days. You can couple that to the retirement of Shawn Michaels and Batista leaving (can't believe Batista's exit is not on the poll list). In terms of what most profoundly stands as the most important ongoing news story for WWE, I'd say it's all of these (and tie violence) tied together in one massive package.

When Danielson returns, that will be a huge news story, and I suppose you can add that to the mound I've assembled.

Re: What is the biggest news story of 2010? (So Far)

Bret Hart returning to the WWE.

Nearly thirteen years in the making, he returns to WWE. Nothing, in my opinion, not HBK's retirement or Daniel who ever geting fired comes close to that.

Theres been a few so far this year but my top picks would have to be:

- HBK retiring Mania
- Bret Hart returns to WWE

Bret Harts return and the Bryan Danielson tie incident. Who knew Bret Hart and Vince would come to terms what happen in Montreal. And we all know about the tie incident and also spitting in Cena's face.
