Those who grew up with Sammartino complained about Hogan. Those who grew up with Hogan complained about Austin. Those who grew up with Austin complain about Cena. But the first three groups didn't have computers to channel their complaints.
They will ALL be remembered as the definitive icons of professional wrestling, as they should be.
To be great at anything you need to be pretty darn intelligent - especially in a sport like wrestling where you are pretending to hurt one another but trying to make it look as real as possible - that takes great skill and anyone who can do it well is intelligent in my book.
Bret Hart is probably the most intelligent - his book is a modern classic and I hope that he gets around to writing that novel he was talking about. To have a wrestler write a great novel would be great for a business sterotyped as being stupid.
