Re: Create a new gimmick match

I wouldn't know what to call it but here is my concept.

Think of an old fashioned Hell in a Cell cage, top is much lower to the ring and now think of it with no roof. The object of the match is to escape the cage. No pin falls, no submissions, the only way to get out is escaping. I would use this concept mainly in a "Money in the Bank kind of format. 6 to 8 wrestlers would enter and the winner of the match leaves with an opportunity at any World Championship of their choosing. Bracket style tournament to enter and I think this would be a really cool idea to use down the road eventually over the summer or during the fall.

Re: Create a new gimmick match

The Idea I have seem stupid but it came about when WCW had Norman Smiley holding the WCW Hardcore Title: Have Two Wrestlers compete for a "Hardcore" Title in a Double-Wide Mobile Home. A Winner is declared After the Double-Wide is Destroyed form the Inside First. I can picture Jeff Hardy Vs. RVD for some Reason. Also, A 40-Man Battle Royal for the WWE WHC and World Championship Belt using the Old ECW Rules.

Okay, we have a pole and something completely unrelated to the wrestlers'
story lines is hanging off of it and they need to get it for some reason.

Re: Create a new gimmick match

No ropes-barbed wire inferno/c4 explosives hour long submissions only ironman math. wait, i think i saw that on TNA or on CZW.

In all seriousness, i've wanted to see like a royal rumble, but instead of top rope battle royale style it be pinfall/submission.

Glass Cage Tag Team Match (can't think of a better name)

The ring is surrounded by 4 sides of very thick glass, which cannot be climbed. There is no exit door.
One team's wrestler is inside, the other is outside.
The winning team is the team whose wrestler (inside the glass cage) escapes the cage.
Each team-member outside the cage has their own ladder.

Re: Create a new gimmick match

I think a ladder match mixed with a Hell in a Cell could be cool and it would add some diversity if they continue to use that dumbass Hell in a Cell PPV. The ladder isn't necessary to the match. Just have the belt suspended and the guys have to climb the HiaC to bring down the title. I doubt it will ever happen as it's kind of stupid and dangerous but damn it, that's what wrestling's about.

Re: Create a new gimmick match

2nd idea: Belts in the Bank ladder match

Instead of a briefcase, the prize is 2 tag team titles.
Same rules as Money in the Bank, HOWEVER:
Above the ring there is a cage containing the belts. This cage can only be opened by pulling on a lever suspended above the ring (away from the cage).
The wrestler must keep his entire weight hanging onto the lever. Letting go will close the cage door.
So, a team can only win by one team-mate pulling on the lever, the other grabbing the tag team belts.

Re: Create a new gimmick match

I have one, it's called a punjabi prison match without The Great Khali.

It might actually be half decent.

Re: Create a new gimmick match

My own gimmick match would be a Ladder on a Cell Match.

This would be a normal hell in a cell match but the title will be hanging above and the only way to get it would be to get a ladder on the ROOF of the cell.
