Why doesn’t Corey Graves attempt a comeback?

Concussions made him retire. Bryan proved certain therapies can cure your concussions and he got cleared and is still wrestling. Why hasn’t Graves tried the same thing? He was pretty good!

He's just happy where he is. I did like him on NXT though.

I guess he's content and I think he's better off where he is to be honest.

Current:
Reigns / Rollins / Bray / Aleister / AJ
Inner Circle / Janela / Omega / Darby

All-Time:
Undertaker / Y2J / Batista / John Cena
Brock Lesnar / Steve Austin / The Rock / Goldberg

He's making good money only working 5 or 6 days a month, he'd could theoretically spend all that free time with the family he abandoned.

Re: Why doesn’t Corey Graves attempt a comeback?

commentator job for WWE is cushy once you're used to Vince screaming in your lughole, and unless there's a huge financial incentive why risk it?

DB is an entirely different case with a huge following that was desperate to see him return, and more importantly - his desire to return.

I'm probably the only one who believes this but if he hadn't gotten hurt when he did he'd have headlined multiple Wrestlemanias by now

That's a big strong.

And, as someone that's suffered multiple concussions in competition, if I were offered a choice between (A) returning to competition and risking further injury and potentially brain damage or (B) a job at the commentator's desk, I'm taking (B) every time out.

Yea, I was/am a big Graves fan and I don't think he would've been that big, he was dry on the mic as a performer and didn't have a character that allowed him to show his wit and humor, he was also an undersized guy but without a flashy, flippy style that gets people behind the smaller guys, plus his finish was a submission which would've guaranteed he'd never beat a top babyface.

Arguably he was too far ahead of his time, I think he'd have a much better chance in 2019 WWE than 2014 WWE, the standards have changed, charisma and promo work are less valued, in-ring ability is far more valued. If he made a comeback today with his developed mic skills, he'd be one of best all-around talents in the company but back in 2014 he was just a good technical wrestler with a unique look.
