Are things getting better?

I haven't been watching, but I've been keeping up with the results lately and it looks like on the main roster at least, shockingly, things have begun getting better.

Still a lot of trash and filler to be sure, but the stuff they have going on with the Fiend, the four horsewomen, and now Brock on SmackDown (at least it's something new with him) and the Bryan/Roman/Rowan/Harper angle suggests to me that things have improved and WWE is stepping up their game, at least compared to the awful shit from the spring and summer.

Now with a draft coming, hopefully that's the end of the wild card stupidity and we can get on track. I would probably start watching Raw again if the Fiend wins. SD looks like it's getting better too.

Hopefully NXT will follow. They should move some main roster stars over. Move Asuka back there and set up her vs. Io.

So, have they? Or what?

Re: Are things getting better?

No.

They still have too many wrestlers on the roster and keep hoarding too many in catering

They still can't write babyfaces people can get behind

The same faces they had that started or exacerbated the downturn in numbers are still being heavily featured

The Fiend is the only good thing they have going right now. The Four Horsewoman stuff seems to be falling surprisingly flat with many crowds from what I see. The Bryan/Roman/Rowan stuff is neither bad nor great.

What strikes me most is how flat so many crowds are these days. Like, maybe you could say it's been "better" but the stuff I see, the crowds are the most dead they have ever been aside from The Fiend and Becky.

They did for a while, but then they introduced the scary clown and things went to shit again.

Yes, it's getting incrementally better. We're starting from one of the all-time low points in WWE history, to be fair, but it is getting marginally better. Time will tell.

Re: Are things getting better?

I been watching on and off again since Summer I think, which is already more than the last 18 months when I kind of just quit outside of NxT and NxT UK, I wouldn't say things are picking up, I still have so many issues with WWE right now including the wasting of talent and some booking decisions, but its a little better I guess, I am watching more Raws and Smackdown shows than I was last year.

This.

You're on this forum so most responses are going to be shitting on the product, but the last few months have gotten better overall compared to the last few years. My favorites aren't really being pushed either by traditional senses, but they're moving more towards "out of ring" entertainment which is more my cup of tea. Monday was actually a GOOD show. The outrageous segments reminded me of why I started watching wrestling to begin with. I agree OP. I don't know if Vince is being phased out more or what, but the product is better.

Re: Are things getting better?

I like the direction they are going.

Bray Wyatt is the best thing in wrestling.

All hail King Corbin

Brock about to kill Kofi

These 205 guys like Cedric, Ali, Flipochet, etc are getting put on the back burner.

Rusev is back (albeit in a horrible storyline)

Looks like they are legitimately getting behind hosses like Rowan and Harper.

Still needs a lot of work, but it’s improving. Getting the title off bitch boy Rollins would be a huge step in the right direction.

Things seem much better when you don't watch them. I am sure if you don't watch for 10 years and come back, it will seem even better.
