Well for me personally, I’d have to go with a big fat yes! It’s never been this bad, never!!!!!
I started watching WWF in the mid 90s so grew up with the greats like Austin, HBK, Bret, Rock, Taker and so many others so to see the drop in quality and creativity is truly astounding! It’s like they’re not even the same company anymore. I mean it’s really quite unbelievable how bad it has become in comparison to what it used to be many years ago.
What’s worse to me though is that there is so much potential there to have a truly awesome product that is edgy, exciting, fun and that pushes the creative envelope but instead we as fans have to endure this boring, stale and lazy product that lacks any kind of passion, creativity, desire to improve and ability to listen to their fanbase.
The roster is stacked with potential but is just utterly wasted because an old, out of touch, racist has been of a man doesn’t think they’re quite good enough for his “Sports Entertainment”.
Then there’s Stephanie spreading her PR
corporate BS everywhere to score herself brownie points with the big media moguls and SJW crowd. Triple H forcing himself into every major popular angle going to stay relevant. A crippled Undertaker and broken down Goldberg returning to collect their big fat Saudi pay checks whilst almost killing each other, awful champions like Rollins, Kingston and Lynch, tarp running riot all over the place, dead crowds barley managing to chant “you deserve it”, no creativity, no effort, no cleverness, no desire to create new stars, constantly relying on 50+ year old men to draw a rating, no long term planning, no structure! It’s all just pretty hopeless in all honesty and there’s just fuck all there now to get excited about!
It’s more fun and enjoyable to shit on the WWE than actually watch it. Really and truly, the only enjoyment I get out of this product is fantasy booking, watching old stuff from the past, watching botch videos, shitting on how bad it all really is and perving on the women!
That’s really about it and what’s worrying is that it’s just going to get worse, just wait and see...
