Re: Who do you blame for a dead crowd?
House show crowds have always been good for the shows I've attended. TV tapings just have an awful vibe now. They probably did in the older days too, 4 hours of squash matches for a month of TV. But now there's so many long breaks in the action, the wrestlers don't really play to the crowd, all night there's stupid commercials and shit playing on the tron, it's all bright and shiny and sterile, it feels more like a TV show than a wrestling show.
Also, the group that was historically loudest at wrestling shows, adult males, are now a more "in the know" type that isn't gonna mark out for stuff, but they'll chant, dammit.
