Hello RapShepard to answer your question on sky and BT.

SKY
Well Sky was originally 2 different satellite company's BSB and Sky. BSB had a square dish and sky used traditional round satellite dish.
In November 1990 both companies merged and formed BSkyB (now called SKY).

Sky carry of hundreds of channels which are either free to air , subscriptions and PPV. Like most satellite and cable companies they have different packages, basic, movies, sports , etc.

There are a number channels that are made by sky that they broadcast Including general entertainment , lifestyle , movies , sports and documentaries etc..

Sky sports currently carry until January 2020 WWE, which they have done for over 30 years on the various sky branded channels . Only channel 4 a FTA channel (you can get thorough an aerial) had Sunday Night heat once a week 4pm then it moved to midnight overnight Sunday/Monday and few PPV's ( with time delay so to edit for adverts and make them more PG) from 1999-2002 .

BT

BT However were originally the state owned telephone company until the got privatised in 1982.

BT TV launched in 2006 as a cable TV company .

In 2013 BT outbid ESPN for a premier league right package having some games on BT and the rest of Sky sports .

BT sports have all the big European football games, UFC , Boxing (some promoters ) and motor sports rights amongst other sports .

BT has less viewers than SKY Sports as people for nearly 30 years have gotten sky sports and when other have gotten sports rights they have generally not paid extra for watching on different channels .

BT and SKY have according to reports done a deal of some sort to allow more sky channels BT TV and BT sports on sky, which could mean as part of the sports package or at lower cost than now.

Yeah that seems to be a totally different set up from what we got here then. As here no matter what cable or satellite company you roll with they all offer the same channels and for the most part similar international packages.

That's what I always do, although I haven't even done that this week.

tbf, there was at least some kind of rumour going around not long ago that wwe is planning to reduce the amount of youtube content they are currently putting out so watching on it on there might not be an option in due course. Likely due to this very reason that people cannot be fucked to watch it in full so wwe will remove the easier way to view it.

I cant even remember the last full episode or RAW or smackdown I watched......must be about 2004, 2006 at the latest.

They can try (hopefully not), but the clips will find a way on there. Even if they scrub them, they'll get re-uploaded, etc. There's no way to fully get rid of it. Even the PPV's get clipped on Youtube even following.

Getting rid of the clips won't make people waste hours of their time, it'll simply make them stop watching at all, or finding clips elsewhere.

Hello. RapShepard

For the most part the channels on satellite and cable TV in the UK are similar.

However the fees between rival platforms essentially sky (UK only satellite provider ) and some cable means that if one company decides to increase their charges to another platform then they might not carry some channels on the basis that the cost has gone up,

Some cable companies have a sports package that actually has BT sports and SKY sports at 1 cost, , whilst on sky (satellite system) BT is on top of your sports package.

As I said in my previous post some people don't want to pay for BT on top of their existing sports package.

So it will be interesting to see what viewing figures (including PVR as UK is 5 hours ahead of east coast time so RAW is at 01:00 Tuesday and Smackdown is 02:00 Wednesday) when BT get the WWE . However if their is a deal to include BT sports as part of the sports package on SKY no extra charge then the viewing figures will change .

Yours
